OWENS POV
I was at work when the high school called me. That's weird, they never call unless something was wrong.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi, this is Principle Munson, is this Owen Hunt?" He asked.
"Yup, this is he," I said.
"I am calling to unfortunately inform you that Logan Hunt was involved with a fight in the hallway today and he's suspended for a week, I need you to come pick him up as soon as possible," he said.
"Okay, I'm on my way now," I said. I hung up and I was mad. What the hell? Fighting now?
"Hey what's up?" Amelia said as she passed me in the hallway, "you good."
"Oh yeah I just have to go pick Logan up from school," I said.
"Is he sick?" She asked, "is he okay?"
"He's suspended for a week for getting into a fight," I said.
"What! A fight! Our logan?" She said.
"Yup," I said.
"Call me when you get a reason," she said.
"Will do," I said and ran out to my car. I started driving to the high school. I got out and walked into the main office where Logan was sitting in a chair. His face was all banged up. I signed him out and he grabbed his stuff and walked silently with me to the car. He got in and I looked at him. I did feel bad. He had a few cuts on his face and would definitely have a few black and blues.
"So," I said.
"He started it," he said.
"Logan, Buddy, we don't fight!" I said.
"Liam wanted to do the same thing!" He said.
"Who was it?" I asked. He didn't say anything as we started driving home. I pulled in the driveway and looked at him.
"You're suspended for a week!" I said.
"It was Justin okay? I wasn't going to let him walk all over Ava and cheat on her and treat her like shit!" He said.
"Logan," I sighed.
"He started it!" He said, "he called her a bitch in the hallway!"
"Okay," I nodded, "fighting isn't right okay? Violence isn't the answer, but, and don't tell your mother I said this, he deserved it."
"I know that's why I did it," he said and we walked inside.
"If your mother asks, I told you violence isn't right," I said.
"Of course," he said.
"I have to go back to work," I said, "just don't go anywhere."
"Okay," he said.
"Your siblings will be home soon," I said.
"Okay," he nodded. I walked back out to my car and drove back to the hospital. My phone rang and it was Amelia.
"Hello?" I said as I was walking into the hospital.
"So? What happened?" She said.
"Are you in your office?" I asked.
"Yes," she said.
"Okay," I said and hung up. I took the elevator to her floor and knocked on the door.
"Come in," she said. I opened the door and sat down.
"So?" She said.
"He got into a fight," I said.
"I heard you when you left," she said, "why what happened?"
"He started a fight with Justin," I said.
"Oh," she said, "well, I don't know how I feel about that."
"Well me either but," I chuckled.
"He can't think it's okay to fight people," Amelia said.
"I know," I sighed.
"Did you tell him that or did you say he should have hit him?" She chuckled.
"I told him violence is not the answer " I said.
"Did you now?" She chuckled.
"You don't believe me?" I said.
"No I believe you," she said.
"Okay then," I said.
"When do you get off?" She asked.
"5," I said, "you?"
"Right now," she smiled.
"Lucky," I said.
"I have to deal with the fighting though," she chuckled.
"You do," I said, "have fun." She chuckled and got up and kissed me.
"I'll see you at home okay?" She said.
"Okay," I said, "I love you."
"I love you too," she said. "Lock my office will you?" She tossed her my key and I followed her out.
"You could have stayed," she chuckled, "but thanks." She kissed me again before going off to the parking lot.
AMELIAS POV
I unlocked the door and Logan was sitting on the couch icing his face.
"Uh hey," he said.
"Hi," I said.
"I'm sorry," he said.
"Buddy, you know violence isn't the answer," I said.
"Yes I know dad already told me, I'm really sorry," he said. I lifted the ice pack off his face and he had dried blood and a few cuts.
"Let me clean your face up okay?" I said. He nodded and we got up. I got out the hydrogen peroxide to clean his cut and a few bandages.
"Do I need stitches?" He asked.
"No I think you're okay," I said and wiped his face with a washcloth.
"I'm sorry," he said, "But I had to protect Ava."
"Was he going to hit her?" I asked.
"No, but he called her a bitch, and cheated on her!" He said.
"Okay," I said and cleaned his face, "this is going to sting a little bit." I started cleaning his cuts and he winced.
"Fuck," He groaned.
"Does it hurt?" I chuckled.
"Just finish it," he chuckled.
"I'm almost done," I said.
"Okay," he groaned.
"Is ava mad at you?" I said as I put a bandage on his cut.
"Yes," he said.
"Hm," I said and threw the wrappers away.
"You mad at me too?" He said.
"A little," I said. I let him be and went upstairs to see everyone else. I opened Noah's door and he looked like he was building something.
"Whatcha up to?" I asked.
"Mommy!" He smiled and hugged me.
"Hi," I said.
"I'm building a solar system model for science class!" He said. He was painting little ping pong balls and it was so cute.
"You know you are so smart right?" I chuckled.
"I get it from you and daddy," he said. I chuckled and kissed his head.
"Is that one Jupiter?" I asked and picked up the large ping pong ball.
"Yes," he said, "and the other big on is the sun!"
"So you need help?" I asked.
"Do we have beige paint?" He asked.
"We can go to the store," I shrugged.
"Okay " he said.
"Which planet is beige?" I chuckled.
"Mercury," he said, "I want to do beige and red."
"Okay," I said, "we can go to the arts and crafts store."
"Okay!" He smiled.
"Go put your shoes on and I'll meet you downstairs," I said. He nodded and grabbed his sweatshirt and ran downstairs. I opened Riley's door and she was watching YouTube on her iPad.
"Hi baby," I smiled as she hugged me.
"Mommy!" She smiled.
"I'm bringing Noah to the craft store you wanna come?" I asked.
"Sure," she said.
"Okay," I said. I opened Liam's door and him and Ava were talking on his bed.
"Hi," I said.
"Hi," they said, they both looked upset and I frowned.
"What's wrong?" I said.
"My idiot brothers," Ava said and left.
"Don't look at me I didn't punch Justin okay?" Liam said.
"Okay," I said.
"Is Logan okay?" He asked.
"You live in the same house," I chuckled.
"Oh we aren't talking to each other," he said, "I'm mad that he got to punch him and I didn't and he's mad that I'm mad."
"Oh my god," I chuckled, "go talk to your brother."
"No!" He said.
"Okay," I said and left and lastly opened Olivia's door. She was on her phone texting.
"Hi mom," she said.
"Hey," I said, "who're you talking to?"
"Isabel," she said.
"You two still good?" I smiled.
"Yeah," she smiled.
"That's good," I said.
"Yup," she said.
"Alright I'm taking Riley and Noah to the craft store I'll be back soon and dad will be home around 5 okay?" I said.
"Okay," she said. I grabbed my car keys and walked downstairs and Logan was still icing his face.
"I'll be back in a little while okay?" I said.
"I'll still be here," he said. I chuckled and Noah and Riley met me in the car.
"Mommy can I sit in the front seat?" Noah asked.
"Buddy you're only 10," I chuckled.
"How old do you have to be to sit in the front seat?" He asked.
"Uh," I said, "13."
"Why?" He said as I pulled out of the driveway.
"Because you have to be tall enough so that if we get into an accident the airbag wouldn't hit your face and you wouldn't get hurt. If you're taller it would hit your chest and your head would be fine," I said.
"Okay," He nodded.
"Okay?" I chuckled.
"What are we getting at the store?" Riley asked.
"We're getting paint," Noah said.
"Don't you have paint?" Riley said.
"He needs a specific color," I chuckled. I looked in my mirror and looked at Riley and Noah, they were both talking to each other and I was glad they were still somewhat small. Not dating, no drama, no breakups, not fighting at school. I wanted them to stay little forever.
