AVAS POV
My mom and dad were screaming at each other, I think it was about Riley. I've never heard them fight like this before. She ended up kicking him out and she hasn't come out of her room since. I was worried. What if they were getting a divorce? She's never kicked him out before. Riley was in my room and I know she heard everything I just told my mom she didn't to make her feel better.
"Were they fighting because of me?" Riley asked.
"No, it sounded like they were fighting about work," I said.
"Is there something wrong with me? Is that why I went to the doctor?" Riley asked.
"Riley kids go to the doctor all the time, there's nothing wrong with you I promise," I said.
"Okay," she said. My door opened and it was Logan.
"Should I go see if she's okay?" He asked.
"She's probably not going to open the door but yeah," I said.
"Do you think she'll still let me sleep in her room?" Riley asked.
"Why don't you just sleep in my room okay?" I said. She looked sad and climbed onto my bed.
LOGANS POV
I knocked on my parents bedroom door.
"Mom," I said.
"It's unlocked," She said. I opened the door and she was sitting on their bed crying, I had never seen her like this. My parents almost never fought as bad as they just did.
"Are you okay? Do you want anything?" I asked.
"I'll be okay Logan," she said.
"Can I come in?" I asked.
"Sure," she shrugged. I sat down across from her and her phone rang. I looked over and it was my dad.
"Do you want to answer?" I asked.
"I don't want to talk to him," she said.
"Okay," I said.
"Did you hear everything? I'm sure we weren't yelling quietly," She said sadly.
"Yeah," I said.
"Great," she said and blew her nose.
"Where is dad?" I asked.
"Probably at Evelyn's," She said, "I'm gonna go to bed now, goodnight I love you."
"Goodnight mom I love you too," I said and closed the door. Liam came out of his room.
"Did she talk to you?" He asked.
"Yeah but she's going to bed now," I shrugged.
"They never fight like this," Liam said.
"I know," I said. I walked down to Ava's room and Noah was comforting Riley which was cute. I knew they were fighting about Riley and I felt bad because it wasn't her fault. Ava was sitting next to them and Olivia was sitting at Ava's vanity.
"So?" Olivia said.
"She currently isn't speaking to dad," I said.
"I'm sorry," Riley said.
"Riley none of this is your fault," Ava said, "sometimes parents fight okay? It's not your fault."
"Where is Daddy?" Noah asked.
"He's at grandmas," I said.
"Is he coming back?" Noah asked.
"He'll probably be back tomorrow," Olivia said.
"Or soon," Liam said, not wanting to give him false hope.
OWENS POV
I called Amelia probably a million times. I texted the kids and told them that I love them and that everything is okay and that I'll see them tomorrow. My mom came out of the kitchen with a cup of tea. She sat down across from me and frowned.
"Owen I'm sorry," she said, "I hate seeing you so sad."
"She won't answer," I said, I could feel tears forming in my eyes, "I don't want to lose her." She got up and sat down next to me.
"You won't I promise," she said, "Owen she loves you so much, couples argue I'm sure she will forgive you, you just have to talk to her."
"She won't answer me," I said crying.
"Try talking to her tomorrow," she suggested. I nodded and hugged her and went up to the guest room to think about what in the world I was going to say to her tomorrow.
AMELIAS POV
The alarm went off and I woke up surrounded by tissues and an empty bowl of ice cream. Owen. I looked at my phone and I had 57 missed calls and texts from him. My head hurt so much from crying last night. I got up and made sure the kids were up. They were sitting in the kitchen and I made pancakes. They were all super quiet and I felt bad because it was because of Owen and I's fight.
"Does anyone have any tests today?" I said.
"Science," Olivia said.
"History," Liam said.
"Good luck," I said.
"Thanks," they said.
"Mom I have practice today and Justin can drive me home," Ava said.
"Okay thanks," I said, "Logan do you have soccer?"
"No," Logan said. They all left for school and Noah and Riley came downstairs. I made them pancakes too and they were silent.
"Do you guys have anything exciting at school today?" I asked and sat down.
"No," they both said. I drank my coffee and watched them eat. They went back upstairs to get dressed and I put their lunch boxes in their bags. I drove back home because I called out sick from work today. I couldn't see Owen. I walked back inside and sat down on the couch with my laptop. I was determined to find everything out about the medication Dolan wanted Riley to take.
OWENS POV
I walked into work and needed to find Amelia. I saw Derek and ran over to him.
"Is Amelia here?" I asked.
"She called out sick," Derek said, "wouldn't you know that?"
"She kicked me out," I said.
"She what? Dude what did you do?" Derek said.
"None of your business I need to talk to her," I said.
"She's at home," Derek said.
"Okay thanks," I said. I told Bailey and ran out to my car and drove home. I pulled in the driveway and saw her car. I unlocked the front door and she was sitting on the floor in the living room surrounded by papers and notes and her computer. She looked up at me and froze.
"I heard you were sick," I said and closed the door.
"Uh yeah," She said.
"Can we talk?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said.
"What are you doing?" I asked and sat across from her.
"Looking into Riley's medicine," she quietly.
"I'm sorry about yesterday. I was being so insensitive and you didn't deserve that. I was just so focused on Riley I wasnt thinking about how this would make you feel with you past with drugs. I'm sorry Amelia. I didn't mean to be selfish and yell at you. If I could take it all back I really would trust me, but I can't, so will you please forgive me? I love you so much Amelia," I said.
"I'm sorry too," she said, "I was being selfish. I should have just looked into it instead of blowing up at you. I'm really sorry for kicking you out last night, I really shouldn't have done that and I really regret it. I'm sorry Owen, please forgive me. I love you too."
"I forgive you," I said.
"I forgive you too," she said.
"Come here," I said and wrapped my arms around her. She started crying and kissed her head.
"It's going to be okay," I said.
"I'm so worried. She's just a kid, what if it becomes addictive owen? I don't want to do that to her," she said. I pushed a piece of hair behind her ear and kissed her.
"Why don't we look into it together okay?" I said.
"Okay," she nodded.
"So what have you found?" I asked.
"Um, a lot," she said and gave my a pile of papers she wrote notes on.
"Okay," I said.
"I'm really scared Owen," she said. I still had her in my arms. I kissed her head and she nuzzled into me.
"It'll be okay, we'll get through this okay?" I said.
