OWENS POV
The alarm went off and Amelia groaned. It was Saturday but we both had work at 11.
"Owen," Amelia mumbled as I turned the alarm clock off.
"Good morning," I said.
"Good morning," she said and sat up. She rubbed her eye and she was so cute. I kissed her cheek and she smiled.
"Do you think the kids are still fighting?" She sighed.
"Why don't we eat breakfast first," I chuckled.
"Okay," she said. She got up and changed and I did the same. I opened the bedroom door and we could already hear arguing.
"Ugh," Amelia mumbled and walked downstairs. We walked downstairs and the kids were arguing in the kitchen.
"Hey I thought we worked this out!" I said. They continued arguing and Amelia sighed and went to make coffee.
"What do we do?" I sighed and looked at her.
"Leave them here to figure it out," she said and walked over to the kitchen table. Olivia came downstairs and looked at Ava, Liam, and Logan.
"We're still arguing about this?" Olivia said.
"Can you stay out of it!" Logan said.
"Okay you know what?" Amelia said.
"What?" The three of them said.
"Your father and I have to go to work, so you three are going to stay here all day and work this out, and if you don't by the time we get home, there's going to be an issue," Amelia said.
"And I have to stay here and listen to them argue?" Olivia complained.
"You can come to work with us," I shrugged.
"Okay," she said, "and Riley and Noah?"
"Sure," Amelia shrugged.
"So I'm supposed to stay here with these two idiots?" Ava said.
"Figure it out," Amelia said and got up and walked upstairs.
"Why is she so mad at us?" Liam said.
"Just figure this out please," I said.
AMELIAS POV
Today I said I'd bring Riley, Noah, and Olivia to work with me to allow Ava, Liam, and Logan to figure their issue out because I was pretty over the situation. Owen got pulled into the ER so I was with the kids right now. I was looking at CT scans and they were on their electronics.
"Mommy?" Noah said.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Is that a brain tumor?" He asked as he looked at the scans projected on the walls.
"Yeah," I said.
"Are you going to take it out?" Riley asked.
"Yes I am," I said. The door opened and it was Koracick.
"Sheps!" He said and sat down.
"Hi Tom," I chuckled.
"I see we brought the kiddos today!" He said and sat down.
"Yup," I chuckled, "Guys, this is Tom Koracick, Tom, this is Olivia, Riley, and Noah."
"Hi," they said.
"We have a brain tumor I see," he said and sat down.
"We do not," I said, "I am operating."
"Why not?" He said, "Sheps you know I'm good!"
"Go ask Derek if he needs anything," I said.
"Why," he complained.
"Because you're annoying," I said.
"Fine," he said and got up and left.
"He seems annoying," Olivia said.
"Extremely," I said. My pager went off and it was for the lobby.
"Can we come with you?" Noah asked.
"Sure," I said.
"Can we see the ER?" Olivia asked.
"Well there's a lot of people down there," I said.
"There's a lot of people in the lobby," Olivia said.
"Maybe later okay?" I chuckled, "when your dad is out of surgery."
"What's daddy doing?" Riley asked as we walked down the hallway.
"He is doing surgery on someone who is bleeding on the inside," I said.
"What happened to them?" Noah asked.
"They were in a car accident," I said as we got in the elevator. The doors opened and we walked into the lobby when I saw James.
"Doctor Shepherd," he said, "they said I'd find you here."
"Doctor Peterson," I said and faked a smile, "it's good to see you again."
"Mommy can we go to the cafeteria?" Riley asked.
"Sure," I said, "stay together."
"Okay," they said and ran off.
"Mommy?" James said.
"Yeah, 6 kids," I said.
"6?" He said shocked, "Don't know how you do it."
"You have kids?" I asked.
"Yeah, two boys," he said.
"So why are you here?" I asked as we started walking.
"Sam has a patient he wants you to look at," he said and handed me a folder.
"And he sent you?" I laughed.
"Yes," He laughed, "he was busy sending his first grandchild to college."
"Aw," I smiled.
"Anyway," he said, "you and Owen still together."
"Yes," I said, "Are you married?"
"Divorced," he said.
"Sorry," I said.
"Patient is in CT right now," he said.
"I will page my brother," I said. We ran up to CT and Derek met us there.
"Oh this ones good," Derek said when he saw James.
"Shut up and come here," Amelia said.
"Aren't your kids here today?" Derek said.
"Yeah they're in the cafeteria," I said.
"No they're not," Derek said.
"What?" I said.
"They're in the ER with Owen," he chuckled.
"Ugh I didn't want them in the ER," I chuckled.
"Where are the other 3?" He chuckled.
"At home," I said, "working out their differences."
"With?" Derek said.
"With punching Justin," I said.
"Ava's ex?" Derek said.
"Mhm," I said.
"Which one punched him?" Derek said.
"Logan," I said.
"Sounds like fun in your household," Derek said.
"Shut up I'm really mad about it," I said, "so I left them home to kill each other."
"Very good parenting," he said.
"Shut up," I said as the scans came up.
"Well Sam was right that is a brain tumor," I said and looked at James.
"Can you remove it?" James asked.
"Who do you think I am?" I said, "Of course I can remove it." Derek's pager went off 911 and he ran off.
"I will talk to the patient and his family and then get the OR prepped for surgery," I said.
"Can I scrub in?" He asked.
"Yeah sure," I said. I started walking down the hallway and saw Owen with the kids.
"Mommy!" Noah smiled and hugged me.
"Hey," I smiled, "what are you guys up to?"
"Daddy's going to a surgery," Riley said.
"Do you want me to take them?" I asked.
"Yeah," Owen said, "what are you up to."
"Um," I chuckled, "James brought me a brain tumor."
"James?" He laughed, "James James."
"Yes That James," I chuckled.
"Okay well I'll see you all later okay? Love you guys," he said.
"Let me know how it goes?" I said.
"Will do," he said and pecked my lips. I started walked down the hall with the kids and olivia nudged my shoulder.
"James?" She said.
"Oh uh, my ex fiancé," I chuckled.
"Your what?" Olivia said.
"You heard me," I chuckled.
"You were engaged before dad?" She said.
"Yup," I said.
"And he's here?" Olivia said.
"And more annoying than ever," I chuckled.
