OWENS POV
Amelia decided to bring the kids to work today so that Ava, Liam, and Logan can figure out their issues. She just didn't want to deal with it but I can't blame her. James was also here. I hadn't seen him but I know him being here kinda irritates me. I was scrubbing into a surgery and honestly I just hoped the kids at home were working out their differences together.
AMELIAS POV
I was in the lab with Tom and James working out a plan for the tumor. The kids were on their electronics on the other side of the lab. All of a sudden my pager went off.
"Shit his vitals are tanking," I said and looked at James.
"Hey I can work on this," Tom said.
"I'm probably gonna have to go to the OR, shit what do I do with my kids," I said.
"I can watch them," Tom said.
"You can watch them?" I said.
"Yeah, I'm their Uncle Tom," he said.
"Um," I chuckled, "you can't watch my kids."
"You don't trust me?" He said.
"Quite frankly, no," I laughed.
"Sheps I can watch them," he said.
"Fine, but I'm making a list," I said.
"A list?" He said.
"Yes, no sex jokes, none, zero," I said, "got it?"
"Don't you and that ginger do it all the time," he said.
"That. None of that Tom," I said.
"Okay yes I get it," he said.
"Do not let them play with the lasers in this lab, no ER, you cannot bring them into the ORs, no on call rooms, and please don't kill them, I am trusting you here," I said.
"You can trust me," he said.
"I better be able to," I said.
"You can Sheps!" He said.
"Okay guys mommy has to go into surgery so you're going to stay here with Tom okay? Daddy will be out of surgery soon okay?" I said.
"Okay," they said.
"Please be good for him, I know he's annoying, but listen okay?" I chuckled.
"Okay," they said and then I ran up into the OR with James.
OWENS POV
I scrubbed out of surgery and texted Olivia to see where they were.
"Where are you guys?" I sent.
"Mom's lab," she sent. I took the elevator to her lab and opened the door and Tom was lighting things on fire with lasers.
"She left your in charge of my kids," I chuckled.
"She did actually," Tom said, "Hunt look they aren't hurt, I didn't burn them with the lasers." The door opened and I turned and saw Amelia.
"Thomas!" Amelia said, "I told you no lasers!"
"Thomas?" Tom said.
"I gave you a list!" Amelia said.
"Sheps they aren't burnt and they are still alive," he said.
"Fine," Amelia said, "Just go up to the pit or something."
"Okay," Tom shrugged. He closed the door and I looked at Amelia.
"You left them with him?" I chuckled.
"I thought he was a competent adult," she chuckled and sat down.
"He burnt pieces of paper," olivia chuckled.
"What do you use the lasers for?" Noah asked.
"Peoples brains," I said.
"Really?" Riley said.
"Yup, with ultrasound radiation it helps with brain surgery," Amelia said.
"Cool," Riley said.
"Daddy do you use lasers?" Noah asked.
"No," I chuckled, "where's james?"
"Updating the patients family," Amelia said.
"Do you know if the kids killed each other yet?" I chuckled.
"No," I said.
"They aren't speaking to one another," Olivia said.
"I have to go prep for a craniotomy I can't deal with that," Amelia said and got up. She kissed the kids heads and then my cheek and ran out.
"What's her problem with it anyway?" Olivia said.
"Just don't get on her bad side, just go with it," I chuckled.
"Is that what you do?" Olivia said.
"Yup," I chuckled.
"Can we see the ER again?" Noah asked.
"Sure," I said, "let's go."
"There's so much blood," Riley frowned.
"We don't have to go," I said.
"Can we see the babies?" Olivia said.
"Yes let's go," I said.
AVAS POV
My parents left me home with my two idiot brothers to figure this out. I hated it. It was so stupid.
"Liam! Logan!" I said as I walked downstairs. They were sitting on opposite ends of the couch  not speaking to each other.
"Okay you know what? We are going to figure this out," I said, "because if we don't mom is going to kill us."
"He needs to apologize," Liam said.
"Fine logan apologize," Ava said.
"I have to apologize? He's the one who made this a whole issue!" Logan said.
"Okay, what about a compromise?" I said, "we all say we're sorry at the same time and it's over with."
"Fine," Logan said, "you're that scared of mom?"
"You should be," Liam said.
"Exactly," I said.
"Fine, I'm sorry," Logan said.
"I'm also sorry," I said.
"Yeah me too," Liam said.
"No you have to say it," I said.
"I'm sorry," Liam said.
"Perfect it's worked out," I said.
"Yeah whatever," they mumbled.
