OWENS POV
I was getting ready to leave with Amelia and she seemed off.
"Everything okay?" I asked. She looked up from her phone and nodded.
"Yeah everything is fine," she said.
"You sure?" I asked.
"No yeah everything is great," she said.
"Amelia what's wrong?" I asked.
"After you left for work Liam was in a really bad mood and I'm worried about him," she frowned, "I don't know what to do he's really upset and only talks to ava." I frowned and put my arm around her.
"I'm sure whatever it is he'll be okay," I said, "and Ava, did you hear about her date?"
"She texted me when she got home and said it went well," Amelia said, "although it wasn't a date."
"Oh no yeah definitely not a date," I chuckled.
"I just hope Liam's okay," she frowned.
"We'll talk to him when we get home okay?"  I said. She nodded. She walked over to her car and I got in mine since we came in at different times this morning. We both made it home and Amelia unlocked the door. Nobody was in the living room. We walked into the kitchen and Liam and Ava were sitting at the counter.
"Hi mom," Ava said, "hi dad."
"Hey guys," I said.
"How was your date?" Amelia smiled and hugged her.
"Mom it wasn't a date," Ava chuckled.
"And how are you?" I asked Liam.
"I'm fine," Liam said. I looked at Ava and she nodded. She sensed that we wanted to talk to Liam so she excused herself and went upstairs.
"What's wrong?" Amelia asked him.
"Mom nothings wrong," he said, "I'm fine."
"Well something was bothering you today," I said.
"I literally just got into an argument with one of my friends today and it pissed me off that's it!" Liam said.
"Okay no need to yell Liam," Amelia said.
"It's just annoying," Liam said.
"What's annoying?" I said and sat down next to
him.
"The argument I got into, I haven't talked to her all day now," he said. Amelia looked at me when he said her.
"She's not my girlfriend before you ask," Liam said.
"Okay," Amelia said, "did you talk after the argument."
"I tried but she won't text me back," he said.
"Maybe you both just need some time to calm down and talk in the morning," I suggested.
"Yeah I'm going to try to call her tomorrow," Liam said.
"Do you feel better after talking about it?" Amelia said.
"I guess so," he said, "and sorry for taking my anger out on you and Olivia today."
"It's okay," Amelia said. He went upstairs and Amelia looked at me.
"Are they both dating and we don't know?" Amelia said.
"Can you stop trying to be Cupid for 5 seconds Amelia," I chuckled.
"I'm just saying," Amelia said.
"Stop jumping to conclusions," I chuckled. We walked upstairs and Logan and Noah were playing video games in his room, ava and olivia were in Olivias room, and Riley and Liam were in their own rooms.
AMELIAS POV
Owen and I were tucking Riley into bed.
"Good night Riley," I said and kissed her head.
"Good night," she smiled.
"We love you," Owen said.
"I love you too," she said. I shut the door and Owen shut her light off. Owen opened noah's door and he was asleep in his bed with a book open. I chuckled.
"So studious," I joked. Owen chuckled and closed the book and put it on his desk. I shut his light off. We opened Olivias door and she was watching Netflix on her laptop.
"Hi," she said.
"Hi," Owen said.
"We're probably gonna fall asleep soon so goodnight," I said.
"Mom it's 9," Olivia chuckled.
"I'm tired," I chuckled and hugged her.
"Which means I also have to go to sleep," Owen joked. I hit his arm and went into Liam's room.
"Are you feeling better now?" I asked. He nodded.
"I over reacted," he shrugged.
"That's okay," I said and sat down at the edge of his bed.
"I was just mad because she's a really good friend, and I was afraid we wouldn't be friends anymore," he said softly.
"Oh baby I'm sorry," I said. He sat up and I wrapped my arms around him. He was sniffling and it hurt my heart how upset he was.
"Did you try calling her?" I suggested.
"Yeah," he sniffled, "I'll just call her tomorrow."
"Or you could talk to her at school," I said. He didn't say anything and just shrugged. I looked up and Owen was in the doorway. I kissed his head and he looked up at me.
"I really like her," he said.
"I'm sure she'll get over whatever happened," I said. I ran my fingers through his hair and he nodded.
-
I was getting ready for bed and Owen was brushing his teeth.
"Owen?" I said.
"Yes?" He said and spit his tooth paste out.
"Can I wear your sweatpants?" I asked.
"Do they fit you?" He chuckled.
"Yeah I just have to tie them and roll them," I chuckled.
"Why don't you wear your own clothes Mia," He joked.
"I like your clothes they're comfy," I said and walked into the bathroom.
"What's on the agenda for tomorrow," he asked as I was brushing my hair.
"Ava and Logan have practice tomorrow, Liam is getting Olivia from school, I'll pick Ava up, and you can get Noah and Riley from school," I said.
"Alright," he said.
"I hope Liam and his friend make up," I said.
"I'm sure they will," Owen said.
"How was work today?" I asked.
"Stressful," he said, "lots of traumas."
"I heard," I said. I sat on the counter as he was washing his face.
"How was your day?" He said.
"Tiring," I said, "I spent most of it worried."
"Easy. Stop worrying," he joked. I hit his arm and he chuckled.
"I'll try it," I said. He was standing in front of me and I smiled.
"I love you so much," I smiled.
"I love you too," he said and kissed my forehead.
"We should have a date night this weekend," I said.
"We should," He said, "we haven't in a while."
"I agree," I said. I ran my fingers through his hair and messed it all up. He chuckled and kissed my cheek.
"You're adorable," he said softly in my ear.
