Today I'm going dress shopping with Meredith and Megan and I don't feel up to it but I have to do it, I have to do something some time soon.

I think about it, my stomach growling and I nod

I hit send and look over at Owen who's getting dressed, he's going suit shopping with Jackson and Nathan "hey, Owen, I'm meeting Meredith and Megan at Denny's so I'm going to leave in a minute" I say as I get my jeans on and I put on a flannel shirt
"Okay, baby, you have fun" replies Owen. I smile and wrap my arms around his waist, I pull him close to me and kiss him, he smiles on my lips "I'll see you later, you have fun" I say, he nods and kisses me one last time before I throw my hair up into a pony tail and leave for breakfast
I arrive at Denny's meeting Meredith and Megan at the doors "hey there girls" I say smiling, they smile and hug me "hey, Hols" they reply. We walk inside and sit down. We order our breakfast and for the first time in a while I feel calm, I feel ok. We eat our pancakes, pay the bill and leave a tip before leaving.
"Ready to go dress shopping?" Asks Meredith excitedly, I smile widely and nod. We get to a bridal store and walk inside. "Hello there, my name is Kirsty, which one of you lovely ladies is the bride?" Asks Kirsty, a perky woman with her back curls, tanned skin and a broad white smile "I am, my name is Holland, this is my bridesmaid Megan and my maid of honour Meredith" I reply, Kirsty smiles and nods
"No way! You're Meredith Grey!" Exclaims Kirsty "yeah I am, nice to meet you but really the star of the day is Holland" replies Meredith, Kirsty nods and leads us to a sofa "so, Holland, what are you looking for? Are we starting with bride or bridesmaid dresses?" Asks Kirsty "starting with bride and moving onto bridesmaid" I reply "I was thinking flowy but not too princess like, so ball gown with a bit of bling but no lace. I can afford between 1500 to 2000 dollars" I continue, Kirsty nods and goes off
She comes back a few minutes later with five different dresses. "I've picked these out based on your deep tip-top, if you don't like them you can have a search yourself but it's protocol for employees to pick first" says Kirsty happily, I nod and follow her into a changing room, she gets out the first dress and I change into it.
It's a white dress, ball gown, flows down to my ankles, it has a corset top and a silk skirt, it has diamantés around the waist and around the hem of the skirt. "I love it" I say, Kirsty raises her eyebrows "so you want to show the others?" Asks Kirsty, I nod and walk out with her "what do you guys think?" I ask, offering them a little twirl
"Oh my god, Holland you look beautiful" says Megan, I smile excitedly "I love it!" I exclaim "Holland it's perfect" says Meredith. "I'd like to buy this dress, how much is it?" I ask, hoping it's within my price range "it's $1400" replies Kirsty and my heart jumps for joy "perfect thank you!" I exclaim
"Ready to move onto bridesmaids?" Asks Kirsty happily, we all nod. She takes us down the stairs and we sit on a different couch "do you have a certain colour that you'd like?" Asks Kirsty, I nod
"Plum purple" I reply, Kirsty nods "and how about style of dress?" Asks Kirsty "whatever they feel comfortable in" I reply "well, Megan and I were thinking cocktail dresses with ruffles?" Suggests Meredith, I smile and nod "sure, I'll be back" says Kirsty. She goes off and 10 minutes later she comes back with a few different options
Meredith and Megan disappear into changing rooms for a few moments before coming back out, they're wearing plum purple tight fitted dresses with ruffles at the hem of the skirt, I shake my head "I don't think this dress is the one" I say, Kirsty nods and they change again.
They come out again and this time they're wearing plum purple dresses, tight fitted again but this time with ruffles from the neckline of the dress, diagonally down the side of the dress and stopping at the hem "that's the one" I say. They smile and we purchase all three dresses and I turn to Kirsty "thank you so much for your help today" I say, she smiles "no problem, have a great day" replies Kirsty. I offer her a smile as I turn on my heels and leave.
I get in and hug Owen from behind, kissing his neck. "Hey, hunny" I say, he turns and locks our lips "hey there, beautiful" replies Owen, he looks into my eyes and smiles "how was dress shopping?" Asks Owen, my smile grows wider "oh, Owen it was amazing, I found the perfect dresses. How was suit shopping?" I ask as I kiss along his jawline and down his neck, he smiles
"It was good actually, the guys and I found great suits and we had a great catchup" replies Owen as I unbutton his shirt. I smile on his skin "I'm glad you had a good day" I ask kissing down his torso. Owen picks me up and I wrap my legs around his waist, we kiss passionately as we make our way into our bedroom.
He takes off my shirt, kissing down my neck and torso and then locking our lips together I smile on his lips and flip up, kissing down his torso. "I love you" says Owen as I kiss him again "I love you too" I reply.
