Chapter 19

CAIUS

"Good morning." Naka-ngiti kong bati kay Finn nang pumasok sya sa room namin.

I saw her blushed and it made me smile more.

"Morning. Where's your laptop?" Tanong nya kaya kinuha ko na ang laptop ko mula sa backpack ko.

"Can we talk later?" She asked after she opened my laptop.

"Sure."

"Okay. Ipru-proofread ko na muna ito." Mahina nyang sabi bago bumaling sa laptop.

Umupo naman ako two seats from her and admired her. When Athena left, I realized that I like her. She's better than I thought. She made me realize that loving someone doesn't only depend on the physical appearance but also with the personality. Finn is a true and honest person but more importantly, she's a strong woman. I fell in love with her inner beauty, not that she's not beautiful. She turned prettier for me because of her personality.

I planned to delete all my memories with Athena like our photos, gifts she gave to me and her from my mind. Kailangan ko ng kalimutan sya para makapag-move on na at makapag-focus kay Finn. I'll start by deleting our photos in my phone and laptop.

"Caius, pinapatawag ka sa student council office." Our class president said to me. Tumango naman ako bilang sagot.

"Rocel, Kurt, help Finn in proofreading." Sabi ko naman kina Kurt at Rocel nang makasalubong ko sila sa labas ng room namin.

I went to the student council office and I just listened to their meeting about our upcoming graduation which is on Saturday. Tumagal ng halos dalawang oras ang meeting dahil sa pagfi-finalize sa lahat ng details. Since the SC president is also a graduating student, sinigurado nyang maayos ang lahat sa gradution namin.

When I reached our classroom, naabutan kong mag-isa lang doon si Kurt. I saw my laptop in Finn's seat and two other laptops in the seats beside it. Tinignan ko ang nag-aalalang si Kurt nang tumayo sya at lumapit sa akin.

"Kailangan nating pumunta sa Principal's office. I really waited for you dahil kailangan ka doon." Seryosong sabi ni Kurt na nakapagpa-kunot ng noo ko.

"Bakit? Anong nangyari?" Naguguluhan kong tanong.

He scratched his head and I saw how bad he sweats.

"Si Finn. Binura nya ang thesis natin sa lahat ng laptop natin."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi ni Kurt. Imposible. Hindi gagawin ni Finn iyon. Mabilis akong pumunta sa upuan ni Finn at tinignan ang laptop ko. Napa-upo ako nang makitang na-reformat ito. Everything is gone! My files, our thesis and Athena and I's photos.

"Iniwan lang namin sya sandali ni Rocel para mag-snacks tapos pagbalik namin ay na-reformat na lahat ng laptops natin. Danae was so mad at her kaya sinumbong nya sya kay Prinicipal Dizon."

Nakuyom ko ang dalawa kong kamay and my heart is racing in my chest. Whatever Finn's reason was for doing this, I don't care because she just ruined our future.

Mabilis akong tumayo at habang papalapit sa Prinicipal's office ay nagdidilim ang paningin ko. At nang pumasok ay nakita ko ang takot na takot na si Finn na naka-upo sa harap ni Principal Dizon. I did not looked at her because I am so angry.

"Mabuti at dumating ka na, Mr. Castellano. I believe you already know what happened." Principal Dizon said in a calm voice.

I did not sit down instead I stood in the middle and I can perfectly feel Finn's stare.

"What Ms. De Avila did was absurd--"

"Hindi ko nga po ginawa yun, Principal Dizon. Pagka-alis po nina Kurt ay nag-CR ako tapos pagbalik ko naabutan ko na na-reformat na lahat ng laptops." Finn said in a pleading tone.
