I looked up at the ceiling. How would I ever tell him about the hell I went through? All those times everyone put me down, those people I used to worship. How will I tell him everyone betrayed me? I was miserable.
I wanted nothing but to be with him, but all these people around me, wouldn't even let me go to him.
I still remember that day clear as sky.
"I have to go, Harry."
"No. You don't, AJ. You don't have to, please."
"I don't love you anymore", I whispered.
"You're lying!", he yelled at me.
"I am not", I muttered, trying to get through this lie.
"You are! You and I both know you are! Stop it! Stop lying to yourself, AJ."
"You're lying to yourself, Harry! I don't love you anymore!", I screamed and ran away. I let him go, for all those demons I called my family. I ran from the one I truly loved. I couldn't even do anything.
I stood at the alter, trying to stop the tears from falling down. How could I possibly marry someone else, when my heart truly belonged to him?
My danger walked me to the man I was getting married to. There was no emotion in my eyes what so ever, except pain and sorrow.
Grief. That's what I felt right now.
I was now standing in front of this man I barely knew. When I heard the familiar voice.
"I object to this marriage!", he yelled.
I turned, my eyes widening.
"She doesn't even love him", Harry muttered.
I didn't care what everyone thought about me. I ran into the arms of the man I truly loved, kissing the life out of him.
"I love you", I whimpered. He hushed me.
"They made me do this, Harry! They made me let you go! They are all so demonic! They- told me they'll bring back my past. They told me they'd make me miserable again. They took my worst fear and made mem do this! I had to let you go!"
"It's okay. You're here, I am here. We're both together. It doesn't matter. We'll fight with your demons, AJ. We won't let them get to you. I'll get you out of this", he said, kissing my nose.
And he did. He kept his promise.
