Chapter 17

Dingding's P.O.V.

When I woke up the next morning, there were about five pairs of eyes staring at me. I let out a little frightening scream as I hid underneath my covers. Ruwei, Liam, Rose, Elisa, and some more of my main crew members were all staring at me. Oh crap, today is my concert!!

"Dingding, are you sure you can perform in the concert today? Ruwei told us that you fainted last night and you were really tired and out of it. I'm afraid that if you do perform you might faint on stage." Liam said as Ruwei helped me sit up as Rose handed me a bowl of soup.

"Here, drink this, it'll make you feel better." She comforted as she rubbed my back. "Aunty, are you okay?" She asked in a sad voice as Ruwei held onto her. I forced a smile as I nodded, looking at the soup and chugging it. "Don't worry, guys, I know my body, I can do this," I said as I got out of bed.

We all headed to the arena where my makeup crew began working on my face. I changed into a golden gown as my crew members attached the wings to my back. Once everything was done, I headed to the main room where Ruwei and Elisa were goofing around with everyone else.

"Look, Elisa, it's aunty!" Ruwei said as she turned to me and ran to me. "Aunty, how are you feeling?" She asked as I smiled and took her into my arms, "Darling, don't worry, I'm much, much better. Have you been eating for the past two hours??" I gasped as she let out a nervous chuckle.

"Ruwei!" I snapped as he fell off his chair. I looked at Elisa and put my hand over her very, very big stomach. "John is gonna kill me," I muttered under my breath before marching over to Ruwei and pretending to roll up my sleeves, but about five people grabbed onto me and began pulling me back.

"You can't keep feeding her sweets!!" I yelled as I continued trying to smack him, but everyone just held onto me tighter. "Honey, in my defense, I was on my phone half the time." He said as he grabbed onto Liam and used him as a shield.

"You were on your phone when you were supposed to be watching her??" I shrieked, "Ding, we can get him together afterward, but you need to head into the portal now, your show starts in five minutes." Liam said as he grabbed onto my wrist and began dragging me away from them.

Moments later, I was raised onto the stage. Everyone started cheering as I began dancing around. Since the songs that I'm performing today are very lively, I decided to bring my fire cannons on stage. They will blast real fire when I hit the chorus.

My dancers grabbed onto me as they lifted me onto their shoulders as the wire around my waist lifted me into midair where the fire cannons shot fire. The crowd went wild as I continued singing. Confetti soon was released along with balloons into the crowd.

All of my concerts are either go big or go home, and I will always choose to go big. Once I finished singing, I headed backstage where everyone waited for me. I let out a little laugh as Elisa ran to me and engulfed me in a huge hug. "Aunty, oh my goodness that was so cool!" She screamed.

"You like my concerts?" I asked as I picked her up, "I LOVE them so much!!!" She said happily as she grabbed onto my costume so she wouldn't fall. Ruwei came to me and gave me a kiss as I handed Elisa to him so I could go and change.

Ruwei and I decided to take Elisa out to eat tonight. As great of a cook as Ruwei is, I don't want him to always be cooking because cooking can be really tiring. After I finished changing into a blouse and dress pants, the three of us headed to Hunan's best hot pot restaurant.

Ruwei set Elisa down next to me as we sat together at the table. "Aunty, I want this, I want this as well, ooooh, that looks good too!" She said as she grabbed onto a menu and began ordering just about everything on there.
