Dingding's P.O.V.
Yesterday's performance in SF was absolutely perfect! Today, I have the day to explore around in the Bay Area before we head to Nevada for my second stop. However, I couldn't get out of bed. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't. Everyone began freaking out when the discovered I had a high fever.
I didn't want to get anyone sick, especially Kevin cause he's so young and troublesome enough, so I sent Kevin to hang out with Rose for the day. I wanted Ruwei to go as well since I can take care of myself, but he wouldn't leave no matter what I said.
It's currently noon and I'm still sleeping. I feel like the more I sleep, the more tired I am. Ruwei wrote a huge list for Liam to go shopping for and now that Liam brought all the groceries back, Ruwei has been in the kitchen for the past hour making stuff.
I opened my eyes when I felt him shake me gently. I let out a soft groan as I turned around and closed my eyes again. My fevers go really quickly, but that's because I sleep way too much during the fever.
"Honey, you have to drink this green bean soup, it'll help cool your body down." He said, but I just continued sleeping. I heard him sigh and the next thing I knew, he had his arms under me and helped me sit up. He leaned me against his chest as he wrapped his arms around me.
He blew into the spoon and pressed the spoon against my mouth, but I just turned my head to the other side and shut my eyes again. "Honey, I can listen to you on other matters, but when it comes to your health, you have to listen to me, now open up." He said.
"Ruwei, I'm so tired..." I said in a shaky voice. "I know, but I promise that after today, you'll feel a lot better. Now please, open up." He whispered. I opened my mouth slightly and he carefully fed me a spoonful. It took a very long time, but I finally finished the entire bowl.
"Ruwei, don't come too close to me, I don't want to get you sick. Also, check on Kevin and my crew members, how are they doing?" I asked weakly as I laid down. He smiled at me for a little while before taking my hand in his, "Dingding, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part."
Tears fell out of my eyes as he leaned down and gave me a kiss, "Ruwei..." I said through a trembling voice, I was on the verge of another breakdown, not surprising. "Honey, I will never leave your side." He said as he caressed my cheek.
I nodded with a warm smile as he called Rose. "Rose is taking Kevin, along with some of your other dancers and guards to the Golden Gate Bridge today. She told me that Kevin's been asking for you all morning. The poor boy's already thrown three tantrums and it's only noon." Ruwei chuckled.
"This was supposed to be our day off, together as a family to go sightseeing, but I had to ruin it," I said angrily as I brushed his off of me and yanking the covers over my head. "Ding, you know that's not true, you can't control when you get sick." He said.
I ignored him and continued crying. He tried multiple times to take off the covers, but I only held onto them tighter. He stopped for a while, but seconds later, I felt him plop down next to me.
I let out a scream when he tickled my stomach. He used this opportunity to take off the covers and with one pull of the arm, I flew on top of him. This is what I get for marrying a man who knows advanced martial arts. He gridlocked me so I couldn't fall off.
"Let go of me!" I yelled as I tried to get off of him, but he only tightened his grip. This brings me back to our relationship four years ago. "Honey, listen to me, this isn't your fault. You can't control when you get sick!" He said as I stopped moving around.
"Kevin is the smarted boy we know, and you and I both know that the only reason he's throwing a tantrum is that his mom isn't in his view. You work too hard, there are hundreds of people on your team that require your well-being order for them to make a living, and yet, no matter how much stress you're under, you're always smiling no matter what time of day." He said.
