Dingding's P.O.V.

I stopped walking around when I suddenly felt a wave of nausea hit me. Lately, I've begun to experience the symptoms of the poison Doctor Lin described. Now that Kevin is already two years old, she has begun advising me to find a way to tell Ruwei, since no cure has been made yet.

Doctor Lin predicts that the symptoms will really hit me hard when Kevin turns around three. At first, she predicted I would have until Kevin turns five, but apparently the poison in my body is way stronger than she anticipated, so now I have approximately until Kevin turns three, less than a year of time.

I just don't know how on earth I'm going to tell the love of my life that I'm going to be leaving him and our son forever. I took a deep breath as I held onto the railing. Thankfully I've been able to keep these symptoms under control so Ruwei wouldn't notice, but I don't know how much longer I can hold on since they're only going to get worse.

After a little while, the nausea passed and I was able to move around again. Since I take Kevin with me to my studio and other places, I hired a private teacher for him. I know age two is a bit early to begin formal education, but his life is different than others, so he needs to start earlier.

In the future, everything is going to depend on him. He's going to have to take care of Ruwei while growing up under the pressures of social media. Doctor Lin did tell me one day to cure me, and that's the use of the blood of the man who took away my virginity along with the blood of my blood and flesh. Two lives for one.

This attacker really thought it through. What kind of woman could exchange their own life for two of their loved ones' lives? "Mommy! I want break now!" I heard Kevin say. "Kevin, why aren't you with Paul?" I asked, Paul, is his private teacher that I hired.

"Mommy I'm so tired, I wanna play." He whined as he rubbed his head against my leg. "If you're tired, how do you still have energy to play?" I smirked as he once again began pouting. "Honey, remember what mommy told you earlier, you have to do this, even though you may not always want to. Now go back to Paul and don't come and find me until you're done." I said as I gave him a gentle push.

"Mommy, I'm hungry, can I please have a snack first?" He whined as he grabbed onto my dress. I let out a sigh before grabbing onto his hand and heading over to the snack table. "Mama, up, up." He said as he reached his arms up.

I picked him up and watched as he began grabbing all sorts of snacks into his hands. "You know, the more you eat now, the less you're going to eat during dinner," I said, but he ignored me and continued eating. "Kevin, if mommy were to one day leave, would you be sad?" I asked sadly.

He stopped eating and looked at me, "Mommy why are you asking me this?" He asked in a frightened voice. I sighed and sat down with him in my lap, "Nothing major, just curious. If mommy were to leave one day, you have to be a good boy and listen to your daddy, okay? Don't make him angry or upset, you have to be a filial child." I said.

"Mommy, are you going to leave me?" He asked sadly, "Mommy would never leave you, but you have to understand, that no matter what, mommy will always, always love you. You are my only child, my flesh and blood, you are a product of mommy and daddy's undying love, you understand that, right?" I was now tearing up to the point where I couldn't see clearly anymore.

He pressed his hand against my cheek and rolled his head into my chest, "Mommy, don't cry, but I promise." He said as I nodded and held onto him tightly. I went through hell to bring him into this world, and now, I have to lose everything.

I continued rocking him for a couple of seconds before setting him down. I suddenly got another cramp in my stomach, but I ignored it. "Kevin, go to Paul now." He nodded and ran away. Once he was away, I let out a groan of pain causing Rose to rush to me.
