Chapter 25

Dingding's P.O.V.

It turns out that John and Ruwei are going to be playing the two male leads, the casting crew just didn't figure out the other male lead was gonna be John until this morning when they flew him over here. Suits me, now I have my little darling Elisa to keep me company.

I kept one arm secured around her body as we sat there watching the actors begin to film. Of course, as the child who can't stop moving around, she didn't even last more than one minute sitting in my lap before she started squirming around.

"Aunty, I'm hungry..." She whined as she grabbed onto my shirt, "Honey, didn't Aunty just take you to go get food like ten minutes ago?" I chuckled as I rubbed her little stomach, "Yeah, but that was ten minutes ago, I'm hungry again." She whined.

I let out a small sigh as I set her onto the ground and took her hand in mine as we headed back to the buffet. Now that I'm pregnant, I can't carry her anymore because her legs might kick my stomach, and because I shouldn't carry too much weight on me.

I handed her a plate and scooped some of everything that she pointed out onto it. I loaded up my plate as well before we headed back to our little corner. "Aunty, I'm so happy that I'll have someone to play with soon!!" She said happily as she looked at my stomach.

"But, Aunty, how did the baby get into your tummy?" She asked, causing me to choke on my water. I let out a nervous chuckle, and just as I was about to find a way to answer her, Ruwei walked over. Oh, thank goodness.

"Darling, why don't you ask your Uncle?" She nodded and asked Ruwei the question, he almost dropped her when she finished asking. He looked at me as I began silently laughing. He cleared his throat as he sat down with her on his lap, "Um..."

"Yeah, honey, how did the baby get in my tummy?" He narrowed his eyes at me as I stuck my tongue out at him. "Elisa, um, when a man and woman love each other very much, and they decide that they want a baby, they go to the hospital where the doctors will give them a magic potion."

Wow, I actually can't believe he pulled that off so well and quickly. No wonder he's such a great actor. "Oh, that makes sense!" She giggled as she rolled her head into Ruwei's chest.

"Come on, Elisa, open up." Ruwei said as he fed her some more grapes, "But I wanna eat chips!" She whined as she pushed Ruwei's hand away, "Why did you get grapes if you didn't want to eat them?" He asked, "That may have been my fault." I laughed nervously.

"How about this, you eat one grape, then you can have one chip," Ruwei said as she shook her head and began squirming in his arms, but he just gridlocked her. "I want Aunty!!" She said as she started crying. My maternal instincts kicked in as I jumped out of my seat and took her out of his arms.

I sat back down and held her in my lap. She continued crying as she buried her face into my neck and wrapped her arms around my neck. I held onto her as I patted her back, "Elisa, it's just grapes, you don't have to cry, darling." I comforted.

She started hiccupping, so I grabbed my bottle of water. "Elisa, turn around," I said. When she finally turned around, I fed her some water. After a little while, she stopped crying. She reached her numb phase. Ruwei let out a sigh when they were called back to continue filming.

"Ding, are you sure you're gonna be fine? You're already pregnant, now you have to watch a child." He said, "Honey, don't worry, it's actually great company and practice." He nodded and gave me a kiss before turning to Elisa, "Can you give Uncle a hug before I go?"

Elisa sniffled her nose and looked at Ruwei with her red-eyes for a quick moment before letting go of my neck and opening her arms. Ruwei smiled and gave her a small hug before kissing her cheeks, causing her to giggle and turn back to me. Ruwei patted my back before heading back to film.
