Chapter 15

Dingding's P.O.V.

Since I was rehearsing, and everyone in my crew knows about Ruwei, Ruwei came along with me. We've been rehearsing for about an hour now and I'm really stressed out because three of them just can't get the moves right. No matter how my dance choreographer teaches them, they can't get it, so I am about to go teach them.

This song was a bit about martial arts, so I had Ruwei come and help me teach them as well. I stood in front of them and told them to copy my movements, but still no success. I then told Ruwei to do the moves while I went to each other them and physically tried helping them.

I grabbed onto their arms and began moving them in the way they should be moving. It took a while, but in the end, they finally mastered the move. That's when I realized that I have not eaten a single thing all day and I was about to head to Amazing Dance.

Later tonight, after Amazing Dance, I am heading to my brother, John's house to pick up his four-year-old daughter and bring her to my house for a couple of days while John and my sister-in-law travel to Beijing for an emergency at work. I can't wait to see her, it's been almost a year since I last saw her.

As I was changing out of my rehearsal clothes, I heard Ruwei knock on my door and tell me that he packed some food so I could eat on the way. "Ruwei, Elisa is going to be coming tonight, can you arrange one of the bedrooms and get everything prepped for her arrival?" I asked once we got to Amazing Dance.

"I'll go do some shopping today then." He said, "I'll tell Rose to go with you because you might not know what a four-year-old girl likes." I chuckled as I texted Rose. "Aren't you adorable today." He chuckled as I gave him a quick kiss before heading out of the car.

Once I finished things up here, I headed to John's house. I jumped into his arms when he opened the door, "Dingding I missed you so much, I heard you and Ruwei are doing really well!" He said as I went inside his house. "Yeah, I decided to give this marriage a try so it can become a real marriage because he really is one of the best people I've met." I blushed a little, "I'm so glad that my little sis has finally found someone."

"Thanks, bro, anyways, where's Elisa?" I asked as I heard footsteps on the second floor. "Auntie!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!" Elisa screamed in her very loud voice as she ran down the stairs and literally jumped onto me. I quickly caught onto her and picked her up.

"Hello, sweetheart, I missed you so much!!! Wow, you've gotten so big!!" I said as she giggled and rolled her head into my neck, "I missed you so much too, I made you and Uncle Ruwei some cookies!" She said happily as she wiggled for me to set her down.

"You baked them yourself?" I asked as she handed me one after running into the kitchen, I took a bite. Honestly not bad for such a small kid, not bad. "You could grow up to become a baker!" I chuckled as we got ready to leave. "John, where's Rebecca?" I asked.

"Oh, she is wrapping things up with her film right now. We really appreciate you doing this, I know how busy you keep yourself yet you now have to watch a child." He said as I took Elisa's hand in mine.

"Don't worry about it, I love spending time with Elisa. Elisa, you can go with Auntie to Amazing Dance tomorrow!" I said happily before giving John another hug and getting into the car. We chatted the entire ride and wow, this kid has quite some energy in her system.

She started jumping up and down when she saw Ruwei. She ran to him and nearly knocked him over as well. He picked her up and swung her around in circles. I smiled as I watched him interact with Elisa. I can't wait until we have a child of our own, he would make such a great father.

"Elisa, let's go see your room! Uncle went shopping this morning and got everything you might need." Ruwei said as we headed upstairs. My eyes popped out of my head when he opened the door. EVERYTHING was pink, and when I saw everything, I mean everything.

Elisa started screaming happily once again as she ran into the room. "Ruwei, pink everything, really?" I whispered as I grabbed onto his sleeve, "Rose suggested pink and I thought to myself, go big or go home, right?" He said in a clueless tone.

I took a deep breath as I laughed a little, oh my goodness I can't. "You know what, good job, honey, looks great," I said, giving in, can't argue with someone who doesn't know what they did wrong, right? I turned my head and continued to watch as Elisa explored her room.

"I can't wait till we have a kiddo." Ruwei said as he wrapped his arms around my waist, "I know right, another little you running around this house." I blushed. Ruwei let go of me when Elisa ran towards us. "Aunty, I'm hungry..." She said with a pout.

"Can't let my favorite niece go hungry now can we, to the kitchen!!" I said as I ran after her. "Ding, be careful!" Ruwei yelled as Elisa and I charged into the kitchen. I helped her wash her hands as we sat down at the dining table since Ruwei had already made dinner.

Ruwei and I both scooped food onto her plate as we watched her happily eat. "Uncle, this is so good!!!" She said as she took another bite of the bread Ruwei baked. "I'm glad you like it! Keep eating!" Ruwei said as she stood up in her chair.

I quickly dropped my chopsticks as I rushed to her, afraid that she would fall off and hurt herself. I put my arms around her little body as I put her on my hip, "Honey, when we eat, we don't stand on the table, what if you fall down? You'll get hurt and then aunty and uncle will be sad." I said as I ran my hand through her hair.

She started giggling as she gave me a kiss, "I just got so excited because Uncle's cooking is so good, and I couldn't reach that dish." I chuckled as I sat down on my chair with her in my lap. I kept an arm around her body as she started eating. I smiled as Ruwei continued putting more stuff onto her plate.

I love kids so much; I treat every kid as if they were my own. "Aunty, when you go to Amazing Dance tomorrow, can I please sit next to you? I don't wanna sit with the stage people backstage." She asked as she rolled her head into my chest.

"Of course you can! I'll let KK know after dinner so he can prepare a little seat for you, but be sure to not squirm around too much, okay? Aunty has to watch the dancers perform." She nodded happily before beginning to drink her apple juice.

After dinner, the three of us played around for a while in the garden before I decided that she needed to go to bed. She, of course, protested for a very long time until Ruwei just picked her up and placed her in her room.

Both Ruwei and I were worn out, I don't know how we're gonna deal with our kid every single day in the future when we can't even deal with Elisa for half a day. I was laying on the couch in a very tired and worn out manner, and Ruwei was in the kitchen making something.

"Honey, what are you making?" I asked as I finally pulled myself off the couch. "I'm making you some pear and ginger tea, great for protection of your throat. You're going to be holding so many concerts soon and you're on the judging panel for Amazing Dance." He said as he poured me a cup and handed it to me.

Just as I was about to say something, Elisa came wobbling into the kitchen. I looked at my phone, it's already almost 10 pm, way too late for her to still be up. Man, John is gonna kill me if he finds out about this.

"Aunty, I don't wanna go to bed, I want to play with you and Uncle. Daddy and mommy are always so busy traveling around China that they never play with me like you and Uncle have tonight." She whined as she just stood there and looked at us with a pout.

I let out a soft sigh as I set down my cup and took her into my arms. "Elisa, your parents really are busy, but you know that they're trying their best, right?" I asked as she nodded and wrapped her arms around my neck. "But can I sleep with you guys?" She asked as I nodded.

I picked her up and quickly drank my tea before heading upstairs. I set her down on my bed and quickly changed in the bathroom before climbing onto the bed with her. Ruwei soon got in and we were on both sides of her, so she was laying in the middle.

She started giggling as I wrapped my arm around her. "Can my little darling go to bed now?" I asked with a little chuckle as she nodded her head and rested her head against my chest.

Ruwei further tucked her in as he watched me hold her. My attention was mainly on Elisa as I watched her slowly drift to sleep. Once she fell asleep, I looked over at Ruwei, who was looking at me. I smiled gently as he blew me a kiss goodnight.
