Chapter 37

Dingding's P.O.V.

Ruwei has been making me eat one of those pills twice a day, and to be honest, it really is making me feel a lot better, at least it's relieving a lot of my pain that is coming from my symptoms. I don't know how he did it, but it's working. At this rate, I might actually survive this obstacle.

"Kevin, sweetheart, we need to get going, NOW!" I yelled from downstairs, the boy just doesn't understand the word punctual. If we leave any later, I'm going to be late for an interview followed by a meet and greet. I heard a bunch of stomping and running from upstairs, but no boy.

I let out an angry sigh before heading upstairs. I found him running into his room. I quickly turned my walk into a run so I could grab onto him before he got inside his room. I picked him up and held him horizontally in my arms. "Mommy I don't want to go!!" He yelled.

"I know you want to stay home, but you have to come with me. Rose has to be with mommy today so she can't come and watch you, now let's go." I said as I began carrying him downstairs. He was resisting for a while but eventually gave up.

I buckled him up in his car seat and began driving towards the studio. "Mommy, can we get ice cream after this?" I asked as I held onto his hand and we began heading into the studio with my bodyguards. "Yes, we can, but you have to behave yourself throughout the entire afternoon, understood?" He nodded.

I handed him off to one of my crew members before I began heading to the interview room. After about an hour, I finished. When I walked out to get Kevin, my eyes widened. My jaw dropped when I saw that backstage was a complete mess.

Then, sitting in the middle of all that trash is Kevin reading a picture book and eating a bag of chips, laughing as if nothing happened around him. I quickly bent down and helped my crew members stand up, who somehow were all on the ground in a very tired manner.

"Guys, what happened? Are you okay?" I asked once all of them were up. Liam came out looking all sweaty, "Liam, what?" I asked as I looked at him, he was taking deep breaths to catch his breath. "Your little boy wanted you but we told Kevin you're in an interview, so he began running around until we were all too tired. Surprisingly, none of us could catch a two-year-old."

I looked at Kevin angrily. He gave me a quick smile before throwing down his book and beginning to take off. I yelled his name angrily as I threw down my purse and ran after him. He started screaming and laughing as he looked back to see me chasing him.

I stopped running when I saw Ruwei suddenly pick up Kevin. I let out an angered sigh before putting my hand against the wall and taking a deep breath. It's not easy running in heels. "Kevin, what did you do? Mommy seems pretty mad..." Ruwei chuckled as he held onto him.

"Kevin, you're grounded." I said once I caught my breath, "Ouch, this is the first time you've been grounded." Ruwei said as Kevin smiled at me, "Mommy, don't be mad, I just missed you." He pouted, "Kevin, I told you that I was attending an interview and for you to not cause any trouble, but you managed to knock out my entire crew!" I snapped angrily.

"I'm sorry, mommy...I won't do it again." He said sadly before hiding his face in Ruwei's jacket. Ruwei looked at me, causing me to sigh. "Ding, here, eat this." Ruwei handed me another pill. Once I ate it, I instantly felt a lot better. I might just make it.

I took Kevin into my arms as we got into the limo, "Sweetheart, you promised mommy you would behave. But did you?" I asked in a calmer tone. He held onto my shirt tightly as he shook his head, "I got bored but I wanted mommy, but mommy wasn't in the room, so I began running around, I'm sorry, mommy." He said sadly.

"I don't want there to be a next time, okay? When mommy tells you to behave, I need you to behave, do you understand?" He nodded. I rested my hand on his back as we arrived at the meet and greet. I handed him to Ruwei before we got out of the limo.
