Chapter 24

Dingding's P.O.V.

After I took three pregnancy tests and they all came out positive, I almost lost my breath. I can't believe I am actually pregnant. My biggest life dream is finally happening! I let out a happy squeal as I ran out of the bathroom, of course, being careful in the process.

I ran into Ruwei's arms as I gave him a kiss, "Ruwei, I am pregnant!!" I said happily as he picked me up and twirled me around. He set me down and hugged me tightly as he began peppering me with kisses. I let out a little laugh as he continued kissing me.

"Ding, oh my gosh, we're going to be parents!" He said happily as he placed his hand gently onto my stomach. I placed my hand on top of his as we stared into each other's eyes. "Ruwei, I love you so, so much," I whispered as he sealed our lips.

He ran his hand through my hair as we continued passionately kissing. Our dream has finally come true, together, as a married couple. The one thing I will always regret is waiting 6 years before giving him a chance. I lost 6 years of love.

"But Ding, how are you feeling? I know that pregnancy has a lot of discomforts you will have to go through." He said, "Ruwei, don't worry, it's all part of a natural process. It's not going to be easy, but I have you beside me." I said with a blush.

"That's right, that is 100% correct. I promise I will be there for you every single step of the way." I nodded and pressed my hand against his cheek, "Ruwei, I am a little hungry though." I chuckled, "I won't allow that! Come on, let's go get some food into your stomach."

He grabbed onto my hand as we headed downstairs. "Anything, in particular, you want to eat?" He asked as he began rummaging through the fridge, "Um, just something salty." I said as I sat down at the kitchen island. "How about an omelet?" I nodded.

"Though, from now on, chicken soup will have to become one of the things you eat regularly, especially after birth." He said as he began cooking, I frowned, but I knew that I would do anything for my child. I honestly don't like chicken soup, but I know how good it is for the body's health.

Once he was done cooking, he handed me the omelet along with some warm water. "For my beautiful wife, enjoy." He chuckled as I began eating. Man, his cooking is honestly so delicious. "Mhmm, the baby really likes it." I said as he began massaging my shoulders.

"Does my wife like it?" He asked as he gave my temple a kiss, "Of course she loves it; I'm the one who has to do the actual eating!" I laughed as I continued eating until it was all gone. "Man, pregnancy is going to make me gain so much weight," I mumbled.

"Honey, trust me, that's something I've been wanting you to do for a very long time. You're too thin, you really do need some more meat on you. You get so cold every single winter." He said, "I know, I know. I guess this pregnancy will be a good excuse for me to eat a lot."

"It's just so great to see you eating." He said as he scooped me up bridal style. "But darling, now that you're pregnant, you should really take it easy on the rehearsals and concerts." He said, "Tomorrow I'm going to tell everyone. I'm still going to make music and attend things, but just no more concerts or super loud places, it's not going to be good for the baby."

"Oh, I'm just so happy!!" He said happily as he began jumping up and down, "Ruwei, oh my goodness, let's not do that anymore..." I laughed as I watch him jump up and down like a three-year-old girl. I shook my head as he ignored me and continued on.

He is so lucky that I love him so much; otherwise, for goodness sakes.

Next day...

Everyone was absolutely elated when I told them that I was pregnant. Ruwei, of course, was the happiest of them all. He wouldn't stop bragging to all his friends that he is going to become a dad soon.
