Chapter 18

Dingding's P.O.V.

"You...you love me?" Ruwei breathed as I nodded, "You're always protecting me, making sure I'm eating enough, making sure I'm not too cold and not too hot. You always get so sad when I'm sad, and happy when I'm happy. I don't want to wait anymore, Ruwei, I love you and I want a future with you."

I could see tears glistening in his eyes as he pressed his lips against mine. "I can't believe this day has arrived, I thought that it would always be a one-sided love marriage. Ding, you have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that." He whispered as he pressed my forehead against his.

I blushed a little as he caressed my cheek, "Ding, if at any point you don't feel comfortable, let me know, okay? The last thing I want is to make you feel uncomfortable or to hurt you." He said, referring to what we would be doing next week.

"I want to, with you. I love it when you have your arms around me, it makes me feel so protected and loved." I smiled as I leaned in to kiss him again, "I will never, ever let anyone hurt you." He said in a possessive voice.

The next day...

Ruwei made some quick breakfast as I once again had to drag Elisa out of bed. I dressed her in a very cute shirt and leggings as we headed downstairs. "I love Uncle Ruwei's cooking!" She said happily as she started eating. I kept my hand on her lower back to prevent her from standing up again.

Once everyone was done eating, we got into Ruwei's car and headed to the amusement park. Last night, I texted Rose and told her to go to the store and buy me some clothes, I also told her about my anniversary plans. Thankfully, as my personal assistant, she knows my size and likes, so who better than her?

"AHHHHH we're here!!!" Elisa yelled as she jumped out of the car and began sprinting towards the entrance. Ruwei and I both had a mini heart attack as she took off. Ruwei quickly ran after her and scooped her into his arms, both of us letting out a sigh of relief.

"Elisa, what did I tell you? You can't run off like that." I scolded as Ruwei set her down and held tightly onto her hand. "Sorry, Aunty, but the rides look so cool!" She said as we began heading into the park.

"We'll go on as many as you want, alright? But you have to stay with us, no more running off." I said as she nodded. For her first ride, she decided to ride the flying elephant. I got in the front seat with Elisa while Ruwei sat in the back of the elephant.

We went around in circles for about a minute. The entire time, Elisa was screaming happily. From what I observed these past few days, my brother and sister-in-law really don't spend enough time with Elisa. I know they're both busy, but this is their child, they need to spend more time with her.

After we rode a few more rides, we headed to the food court. "I want that hamburger meal with the toy in it," Elisa said as we grabbed some fast food. We ordered her a kiddy meal while Ruwei and I each ordered a combo meal. "Elisa, you have to actually eat, you can play with your toy afterward," I said.

After we ate, we spent another couple of hours riding rides at the park before we decided to go back home. If Elisa is tired and grumpy tomorrow morning when John comes to get her, John is gonna be so mad.

In order to get her to sleep earlier today, I made her drink a big cup of warm milk. "Aunty, why am I so tired? I didn't even do that much today, Uncle Ruwei was carrying me most of the time." She whined as she began wobbling around the house.

I chuckled a little as I took her into my arms, "Sweetheart, even though Uncle Ruwei was carrying you most of the time, you still used up a lot of your energy, so your body is telling you that you need to rest early. Come on, I'll tuck you in." I said.
