Dingding's P.O.V.

A month later...

Things have finally gone back to normal. I've made a full recovery and both Ruwei and I are back at work. He is now filming a new series and I'm beginning to hold more concerts. Kevin is going to stay with me for another year before we enroll him in official preschool.

During this time, he's still going to spend time with Paul and learn as much as he can because Ruwei and I value education. I've been rehearsing so much today my voice cracked towards the end. Everyone got extremely worried because I'm performing tomorrow.

And this is why my stomach is filled with vitamin waters and now I'm stuck in a spa. I don't understand why a spa would help with a cracked voice, but I guess it wouldn't be too bad to pamper myself after all these recent events. My entire body was waxed, massaged, stuck in a body wrap, then polished.

The same goes for my hair and face. Every piece of me was completely polished today and I have to say that it really does feel nice. I look quite different as well. I'm assuming that by now, Kevin has begun to throw a tantrum. I've been in the spa for the past three hours already.

I changed out of the bathrobe and into a skintight dress before they styled my hair and did my makeup. Wow, I really am shining. I slipped into my heels and paid before exiting the spa. "Honestly, wow, Dingding, you do look different," Liam said as I entered the limo.

"I can't remember the last time I went into a spa. It really is relaxing. Now that I have a child, everything is so much more different because his needs are always a priority." I sighed as we headed back to my house. "I've never seen a child love their parents so much like Kevin loves you and Ruwei. Your efforts won't go to waste." He comforted.

"Take care of your throat, don't talk too much tonight and don't be late for your concert again." He laughed, "Liam, that was ONE time!" I laughed as I got out of the limo and waved goodbye to him. I called Kevin's name once I entered the house and heard footsteps upstairs.

"Oh my goodness..." I heard Ruwei say. I turned around and laughed when I saw his eyes fixed on me and his jaw wide open. "What, do I look bad?" I teased as I walked to him. He continued staring at him, "You look...so beautiful." He said in a mesmerized tone.

I blushed a little when he put his hands on my waist and leaned in to give me a gentle kiss. "You are so beautiful." He said again as he caressed my cheek. I continued blushing until I heard Kevin run into the kitchen. "Wow, mommy!" He yelled as Ruwei and I broke apart.

"Kevin, how does mommy look?" I asked as he ran to me. Now that he's already three, it's getting a lot harder to pick him up, so I normally bend down and hug him since he's growing so fast. "Mommy, you look so pretty!" He said as I gave him a little chuckle.

"Tomorrow I have another concert, but my voice cracked towards the end of rehearsal earlier today, so Liam sent me to go relax in the spa and ordered me to not talk too much tonight." I said as Ruwei nodded, "Ding, how does a spa help with a cracked voice?" He asked as I shrugged my shoulders.

"Mommy, you have another concert tomorrow?" Kevin asked in a sad tone. I looked at him confused, "Honey, what's wrong?" I asked as I bent down, he pouted as he continued staring at the ground. He grabbed onto me and he suddenly leaned into me.

I let out a little yelp as I crashed into the ground. I felt Ruwei grab onto me as I turned to look at Kevin, who had his face buried into my stomach. "Kevin, what's wrong?" I asked as I pulled him off of me so he could face me. He let out a little sniffle before pushing me off of him and running upstairs.

"Kevin!!" I yelled as I got up. I was going to run after him, but my stomach suddenly started hurting. I hunched over as I placed my hand over my stomach. "Dingding!" Ruwei yelled as he grabbed onto me. I took a couple of deep breaths before the pain finally disappeared.

"It's okay, this is just the aftermath." I sighed before looking at the stairs. "What's gotten into him?" I asked as Ruwei sat me down on the couch. He laid me down and lifted up my shirt and sighed as he saw the two scars on my stomach.

"Ruwei, it's okay, I after all did have surgery. It would be impossible to recover completely in one week." I said as I put my hand on top of his. "Ruwei, I'm fine, but your son needs comforting," I said as I sat back up. "You just had surgery and you're performing concerts again, Ding, you have to learn to rest." He said.

"This is me resting. I love singing and dancing, this is my happy place. And plus, Kevin is always with me, and I always fall asleep in your arms, Ruwei, a woman really can't be any much happier than this. I am living every woman's dream." I said.

I scooted over and wrapped my arms around him, "You've given me this beautiful life, and I can never thank you enough." I whispered before looking deeply into his eyes. He placed his hand on the back of my head as he sealed our lips.

He rested his hand on my waist as we continued kissing. Some people may think we kiss too much, but this is one of the many ways we show each other how much we love each other. I love it when Ruwei kisses me, touches me, protects me.

I slowly pulled away, "Don't ever leave me again." He said, "I promise." I smiled as he gave me another kiss before we stood up and headed to Kevin's room. "Kevin, can we come in?" I asked after knocking several times. No answer. After knocking a couple more times, we walked in.

"I didn't say you could come in!" He yelled in an angry tone as he jumped onto his bed and buried his face into his pillow. "Kevin, why are you so emotional today? Mommy told you that I'm back to performing concerts twice a week now." I said as Ruwei and I sat down on his bed.

He just stuck his butt up at us, causing me to sigh. "Kevin, if mommy did something that may have hurt you, you need to tell me, otherwise, I'm never going to know no matter how much I know you," I said as I put my hand on his back.

After a little while, he finally peeked out from the pillow and looked at me. I gave him a small smile as I encouraged him to come out. "I don't like it when mommy holds those other kids." He said in a jealous and pouty voice. My jaw dropped a little as I looked at Ruwei, who had the same surprised expression.

"Mommy's kid dancers?" I asked as he nodded angrily, "Kevin, those are mommy's dancers! That's how I interact with kids. If you don't get close enough to them, they won't like you, and if they don't like you, they won't perform their best." I said as I pulled him into my arms.

"Well, I still don't like it. Mommy is always with them but I have to stay with Rose and Paul all the time." He pouted as he began resisting in my arms, but I just locked my arms tighter around him. "Sweetheart, you don't need to be like this, you're mommy's little boy. Those are my dancers, you're my son, there's a huge difference." I comforted as I ran my hand through his hair.

He stayed silent, "Kevin, don't be like this to mommy. Remember what daddy told you? How the two of us always need to make mommy happy? Mommy went through so much to give birth to you, to raise you. She always puts your needs before her own. She loves you so much, Kevin. This is her job, she needs to teach her dancers and make sure they know what to do otherwise her concert won't go as well as it could. Look how sad mommy is, Kevin, quickly, give her a kiss." Ruwei comforted as Kevin looked up at me.

He stood up but I still kept my arms around him in case he would fall over. He stood up and threw himself onto me before giving me several kisses. I started laughing as I rubbed his back and held onto him horizontally in my arms. "I'm sorry, mommy, don't be sad." He said as I gave him a kiss.

"Don't worry, mommy's not sad, but I'm so happy that my boy loves me so much," I said happily as he laughed. "Family hug!!" He yelled happily as Ruwei wrapped his arms around us, both of us giving him a kiss on both of his cheeks. My beautiful family.

"Mama and daddy, kiss!!" He said as Ruwei leaned forward and placed his lips on mine. Kevin began squirming in my arms, something he always does when he's super excited. "You love it when mommy and daddy kiss, don't you?" I chuckled.

"I love mommy and daddy!"
