Dingding's P.O.V.
Today, Ruwei, Kevin, and I are traveling to Los Angeles, California to attend the Grammy's Awards Show. It's such a big honor that I got invited to perform at the Grammys considering I'm not a United States singer, and this show is literally only for singers in the US.
But now that Kevin is already ten months old, it makes traveling a lot easier. Ruwei just finished another one of his dramas and his next one doesn't start for another two weeks, so we have plenty of time.
We're planning on taking Kevin touring around LA since this is his first time out of China. Anyways, after the 12-hour exhausting flight, especially having a baby that keeps trying to jump out the window, we finally made it to the hotel. After we dropped everything off, we headed to the arena.
The Grammy's is in three days, so I need to do some last-minute rehearsing and get familiar with the set and everyone who is here. Everyone began fawning over Kevin once we greeted everyone, and Kevin absolutely loved all the attention. He was wiggling so hard he almost fell out of Ruwei's arms ten times!
After a little while of interacting with everyone, he began reaching for me. I propped him on my hip as I continued talking with the other singers. He grabbed onto my shirt as he watched me talk with the other celebrities. "Mama..." He whined after about ten minutes.
"Kevin, when mommy is talking, you need to wait until I'm done, okay?" I said to him in a more stern voice. I love him, which is why I have to do what I can when I can to make sure he grows up with manners. He pouted his lips but obeyed me.
He rested his head against my shoulder as he continued waiting patiently for me to finish up my conversations. Once I was finally done, it was about dinner time anyways. "So Dingding, make sure you're here early tomorrow morning for the rehearsals," Liam instructed.
I put my hand on Kevin's back as I headed out of the arena with Ruwei. Our cast members are going to spend a bit more time here organizing everything up. Once we arrived at Ding Tai Fung, we sat down at a booth and I placed Kevin into a baby stool.
Once we were about halfway through dinner, Kevin began growing fussy. He began tapping around, kicking his seat, and even beginning to yell to get my attention. "Kevin, what did mommy say to you earlier?" I asked as he pouted at me.
I fed him some more food to keep him busy for a while. I quickly used this opportunity to eat as much as I could, knowing he would start another tantrum as soon as he finished the food in his mouth. Thankfully, we were just about done anyway.
Ruwei picked up Kevin as he placed an arm around my waist. We made our way back to the hotel where Ruwei cleaned Kevin up as I removed all my makeup and prepared for bed. These next three days are really going to be busy. Once I was all done, I went and sat down next to Ruwei, who had Kevin standing on his thighs.
I gently ticked Kevin's stomach, causing him to start jumping up and down. "You are such an energetic little boy, always wanting mommy's attention." I chuckled as I took him into my arms. He grabbed onto a portion of my hair as he grabbed onto Ruwei's finger.
Kevin began pulling Ruwei's finger closer to me. Once he was close enough, Kevin reached up and patted my lips while looking at his dad. I let out a laugh when I finally understood what he meant. "Aww, our baby boy is so used to us kissing. Now that we haven't kissed for a while, he's not used to it." Ruwei chuckled.
"Kevin, don't worry, you are in one of the happiest households possible. Daddy loves mommy so, so, so much." Ruwei said to Kevin before turning to me and sealing our lips. I heard Kevin begin to laugh as he rolled his head against my chest.
