Dingding's P.O.V.
"Elisa, come on, you need to get out of bed otherwise I'm going to be late," I said to her as she continued rolling around on the bed. Ruwei already got up to make breakfast. She just pouted as she grabbed a pillow and pressed it over her head.
"Sweetheart, come on, let's get going," I said as I yanked the pillow off of her and forcefully dragged her out of bed. When being nice doesn't work, you gotta try the hard stuff. I rushed her into the bathroom and watched as she brushed her teeth and freshened up.
I dressed her in a floral dress before we finally were able to head downstairs. "Wow, don't you two look beautiful," Ruwei said as he gave me a kiss. Elisa squealed as she covered her eyes and hid her face into my stomach. I laughed a little as I put my hand on her back.
"Elisa has really grown so attached to you." Ruwei chuckled as he gave Elisa a small kiss, causing her to giggle again. "Elisa, come look at what Uncle made for you this morning!" Ruwei said as she jumped into the kitchen after him. This kid has way too much energy.
"Oh my goodness you made me tofu pudding and rice noodles?AHHHHH Thank you, Uncle!!!" She screamed as she jumped onto Ruwei and held onto him tightly. Ruwei supported her up for a while before placing her on her chair and beginning to eat.
"Ding, quick." He said as he handed me a plate of rice noodles. I looked at my phone and gasped, Liam and Rose were already waiting for me outside. "Elisa, quickly, eat as much as you can in the next minute, everyone is already waiting for us outside," I said as she nodded and began slurping.
She began standing up on her chair, but there were noodles in my mouth so I made some noises and pointed at her. Ruwei quickly set his food down and pushed her back into her seat, but she just shot back up again.
Just then, there was a pounding on the door. I let out a groan as I opened it and let Liam and Rose in. "Ding, when I tell you that I'm outside it doesn't mean for you to continue staying inside, hurry up, you're going to be late." Liam snapped as he grabbed on to me.
Ruwei handed Elisa to Rose as Liam dragged me out of the house. I waved goodbye to Ruwei as I got into the car. "Liam, we didn't even eat breakfast," I said as I made sure Elisa was buckled up. "You ate breakfast, you just didn't eat much, which is why Rose bought you guys some, here." He said as he handed me a bag.
Elisa let out a little squeal as she began digging through the bag, pulling out all sorts of snacks and pastries. "Aunty, your favorite kind of lychee juice!" She said as she handed me one. We continued eating throughout the rest of the car ride.
I held onto Elisa's hand once we walked into the stadium. Everyone started fawning over how adorable she is. Of course, as a child, she only really paid attention to the huge buffet table, which is why I had to hold onto her even tighter.
I felt her continue trying to drag me in that direction, but because I had to talk to a couple of people, my grip only tightened. She got to the point where she just gave up for a while and then she began trying again. I let out a small sigh as I bent down a little and scooped her up, placing her on my hip.
"Aunty, aren't you hungry?" She asked once I was done talking with the other judges, "No because I ate a lot of stuff for breakfast, which is why you shouldn't be hungry either." I chuckled, "But..." Her eyes trailed to the buffet table, then back to my eyes.
"But you want to go eat what's in the buffet," I said as she nodded eagerly. "Aunty has to go onstage now, and you have to come with me, but we can eat again once we reach intermission, okay? Remember to always smile and don't talk unless someone asks you a question, got it?" She nodded.
