Chapter 27

Dingding's P.O.V.

A couple of days ago, I found out that our first child is going to be a boy! Ruwei and I are so happy to welcome our baby boy. We have his nursery all set up, all we are missing is Kevin. Now that I am four months pregnant, I'm showing a lot more.

I've been eating and sleeping a lot more. Though, becoming pregnant has definitely helped me compose a lot more songs. I wrote ten songs and all ten of them became China's hit songs, so even though I'm not holding concerts or doing much, I'm surprisingly making more than I used to.

I've been going to the studio for about 4 hours a day. I'm still making sure that my dancers are staying in good condition for when they have to start dancing on the stage again.

After returning home, I changed into my casual outfit and headed into the kitchen. Ruwei always leaves me a ton of snacks in the fridge. I also like to go food shopping, so this house has too much food. I grabbed some Chinese crepes and rice balls before plopping onto the couch and enjoying my food.

After a little while, Ruwei came home. "Dingding, look at what I got for you!" He sang happily as I looked into the bags that he was carrying. "You got me more street-food! Aww, thank you." I said as I gave him a kiss. He chuckled as he set them down.

"How are you feeling today? I heard Liam say that you stayed at the studio for 6 hours today." He said, "Yeah, to be honest, it gets boring around here, so I stayed there for a little while longer today. I'm halfway done with composing another song; it should be done and published by the end of this week."

"Ding, that's great, but just don't push yourself, okay, darling?" I nodded as he took me into his arms. He cupped my chin as he leaned down and sealed our lips. Our kiss grew more and more passionate as he picked me up and placed me onto the couch.

I sank deeper and deeper into the couch as he trailed kisses down my neck. He placed his hand on my stomach as he pulled down my shirt, revealing my cleavage. "Oh, Ruwei..." I moaned as he kissed my cleavage before peppering my face with kisses.

He laid down next to me and draped an arm around my waist, "Ding, how are you so beautiful?" He asked as he stared into my eyes, causing me to blush. Thankfully, by now, I'm more used to his compliments. I chuckled a little as I put my hand on top of his.

"Ruwei, I can't wait until this baby is born. We're gonna be parents." I said gently as he gave my temple a kiss, "You're going to be the best mother in the world." I began pulling up my shirt to cover up my cleavage, but Ruwei stopped me and laughed a little.

"I like this view." I rolled my eyes, men. "This is just cleavage, you can't even see my full breast. Speaking of breasts, mine are beginning to get sore now that they're getting ready for Kevin's arrival." I said as he propped himself up and unclipped my bra, causing my voluminous breasts to spill out.

"I can help you relieve some of the soreness." He said with a smirk as he began massaging my breasts, giving them a little kiss here and there. I can't believe that this is actually relieving the soreness.

"Having fun there?" I chuckled as he laid down next to me again, "Always." He chuckled as he pulled my shirt back up. "Ruwei, I am a bit scared though, my mom had complications when she was giving birth to me, and my grandma also had complications when she was giving birth to my mother," I said sadly.

"Honey, don't worry, nothing is going to happen. We have to the absolute best doctor in all of Beijing. I promised that I would never let anything happen to you, and I'm going to live up to that promise. I will be here for you every step of the way." He said.

We continued laying there for a few more minutes before we got up to go to dinner. Tonight, we are heading to Ruwei's parents' house for dinner. Ruwei's brother and his family will be there as well. A little mini get-together so to say.

I changed into a more formal outfit before we headed to their house. Thankfully, the drive is less than half an hour away. After the initial hugs and greetings, we were shooed into the living room by our parents. They said that they will cook while we rested up.

I guess this is one of the perks of being the youngest children and being pregnant. We played around with our three nephews. Honestly, this family's children are all way too energetic. I can't find out what kind of personality Kevin has.

Once dinner was ready, everyone sat down. "Mom, Dad, you really didn't have to make this many dishes!" I gasped when I saw how much food they made. Literally an entire table full of food. "Dingding, you know that your dad and I love cooking! Plus, you're pregnant, you need to eat more, look at how thin you are." Mom said as I laughed.

"Believe me, Ruwei has been trying to fatten me up a lot lately." I took a bite of the steamed bun she made and instantly began melting, "Yeah, at least she's eating a lot more now." We continued carrying small talk as we finished up dinner.

Wow, am I stuffed!! "Honey, let's go take a walk in the garden. I heard that mom planted a whole new section of roses." Ruwei wrapped a coat around me before we went into the garden. We walked around for a little while before I grabbed onto Ruwei's hand.

"Ruwei..." I said, "Ding, are you okay?" He asked as he put his hand on my lower back, "Nothing, I just want you to hold me." He smiled as he placed a strand of loose hair behind my ear, "Ding, to be honest, I love it when you're like this."

He took me into his arms and gave my head a kiss, "My doctor told me that I'm going to be extra clingy during pregnancy, so heads up, It's only going to get worse from here." I chuckled as I nuzzled my head against his chest. "Trust me, honey, it's my pleasure to hold you like this."

We continued holding each other for a while before we decided to head back home. Once we got home, I went straight to bed. Now that I'm showing more, I'm getting more and more tired. The first pregnancy is always the hardest, but I know I can get through this.

The next day on my way to the studio, I got trapped between 50 something people. No paparazzi, but my fans. I kept my smile on but it was getting pretty hard since they were all getting very, very close to me. I started signing autographs and taking selfies, but the longer I did that, the more people showed up around me.

"Dingding, can you please hold her? I want to get a picture of her with you!" A woman around her early 30s said as she literally shoved her toddler into my arms. I held tightly onto the child as she began taking pictures.

Of course, once I did this, everyone began rushing to hand their children to me. I honestly don't know how long I stayed taking pictures, but I guess it was long enough to make me feel tired and for Liam to send a rescue team along my route to the studio to search for me.

I let out a sigh of relief when I saw some of my crew members, Ruwei, and Liam rush towards me. I heard my phone go off multiple times, but because I was so busy attending to them, I wasn't able to answer my phone for the past hour. Wow, it's been an hour!!

I saw them push into the crowd of fans, but it took forever for them to reach me. Ruwei grabbed onto me tightly, out of breath, he stared at me in the most worried expression I've ever seen him in.

"Ding, are you hurt? Did they hurt you?" He asked as he continued trying to catch his breath. Wow, he and Liam must have been running all over Beijing trying to track me down. But before I could reply, I felt someone shove against my and I lost my balance. Ruwei was also shoved at the same time. I slipped out of his arms and fell onto the ground with a big thump.

Thankfully I didn't fall on my stomach, just on my side. My first instinct was to protect my stomach, so only my arms ended up with a small scratch, though it did start bleeding. I continued covering my stomach with my arms in a hunched position until I felt Ruwei grab onto me.

After a little while, I felt the people around me start to disappear. I relaxed a little to see the security guards and police everywhere. Man, Ruwei looked so pissed off. His eyes widened when he leaned down (I was still laying on the ground) and saw that I was bleeding.

"Someone's gonna die today, they dared to hurt my wife." He said through gritted teeth. His knuckles were so clenched that they began to turn white, and his eyes were about to pop open from all the fire was beginning to emerge. I put my hand on his arm as he helped me stand up.

"Ruwei, don't worry, I fell on my side and arms, the baby is okay," I whispered as I felt my head begin to spin. I felt him scoop me up bridal style as he began running. I heard him yell things, but I felt so faint. As long as the baby is okay, I'll be okay.
