I looked at Ivy who was in the driver seat. She glances at me as she smiles. "What?" I look down at my black leggings and crop-top that she made me wear.

"It's a dinner with Eric's parents. Why am I so dressed up?" She shrugs.

"He has a cute brother." I narrow my eyes at her as I remembered Eric was an only child.

"And single," Eric added. I looked back at him through the rearview mirror. I opened my mouth to question them when we pull up to Noah's house. I turn to Ivy who smiles.

"Ivy? Why are we here?" I asked. She sighs.

"Because Eric flooded his house out and it smells like mold. They are in the process of cleaning it so we are having dinner here." I crossed my arms.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?"

"Because I knew if you thought there was going to be a chance that you would see Noah you weren't going to go." I glance at the car in front of hers to see it was Noah's car.

"Ivy," I hissed. My door opened up and Trent grabbed my hand.

"Come on. We are here and you look amazing. Don't make a fuss." I opened my mouth to protest when the door opens. Peter smiles as he sees me.

"Oh good. I didn't think you were going to make it." He said. Ivy gets out as does Eric. Ivy grabs my hand and walks me up to the door. I look at her.

"I'm starting to think it isn't just Helen that's going to be at this dinner." She gave me a small smile as we reach her father. I look up at him with a small smile. "Hello, Peter." He holds the door open wider and Ivy pulls me inside. We get into the house and everyone was seated. All eyes went on us and I just about broke down as I see Vivian seated next to Noah. I turned to Ivy as she looks.

"I didn't know she was going to be here. I swear." She breathed. Peter nods and leans towards her ear.

"Your mother's idea." Ivy groaned.

"You'll be fine. Just don't let it bother you." Eric said as he grabbed my hand. He gave me a reassuring smile as he walks me to the table. He glances at the table as Helen and Lola glared at me. He sighs. "Mother," He spoke calmly. She turned to the table without a word. Lola stood up.

"This is a joke, right? No one invited her." Ivy took a deep breath.

"Mother sit down and shut up." She hissed. Lola gasped but did as she was told. I looked at Ivy and she smiles at me. I sit next to Eric who sits next to Ivy who was next to Noah. Trent sat next to me as Peter took his seat between Helen and Lola. I glanced at Trent who grabbed my hand under the table.

"Well, that went better than expected," Eric mumbled to Ivy. Vivian scuffs. I look at her as she glared at me. I sighed.

"Hope, tell me how are the classes going?" Peter asked. I looked at him to see him smiling.

"All A's but you already knew that." He chuckles.

"I may be the dean but I'm not checking everyone's progress." I nod.

"Right,"

"Trent is it?" Peter asked. Trent nodded.

"Yes, sir."

"Your mother is doctor Baker right?"

"Yes, she is." Peter nodded.

"She's my own personal doctor." Trent gave out a small laugh.

"I know. She talks about you sometimes." Peter chuckles.

"It's good to know I'm being admired." Lola scuffed. He glanced at her. "Something to say, dear?" She looked at him and shook her head. He smiles and turns back to Trent. "Your mother tells me that you are looking to apply to school here." I look at Trent as he glances at me.

"I was just looking." Peter sighs. We look back at him and he leans back in his chair.

"Well, we have a waiting list so if you are serious about applying I need to know." Trent sat up.

"What are you saying?" He asked. Peter shrugged.

"Well, I was thinking that I could take a look at your application first." I was shocked.

"But that wouldn't be fair to the other kids that have been on that list for months," Lola said. He looks at her.

"Actually it would. Trent here put in an application last year and was accepted but declined." I looked at Trent. He nods. Lola nods slowly.

"So Trent, I have a question for you," Vivian said. We look at her and she smiles. "How does it feel to know you are dating a gold digger." She asked with her eyes landing on mine. I glared at her.

"Hope isn't a gold digger." Ivy protested. Vivian snorted.

"Oh really? So all of your ex's were rich?" She asked. I took a deep breath. She smiles when I don't reply. "Let's see there was Elijah a rich boy from one of your past colleges whose daddy was the dean. Then a guy named Mason Wallen. Also a rich boy from your past college. His daddy owned two of the largest buildings in New York. Then we have Trent Baker. His mom is a doctor and his daddy is a secret service member. Then that just leaves Noah Princeton whose daddy is also the dean. There doesn't seem to be a pattern there?"
