PRESENT DAY, 1 YEAR LATER

"Why are tickets so damn expensive?" Juliane mutters to herself, clicking through ticket prices, planning a trip back to Arizona. She clicks through the countless offers, the prices going up with each click. She sighs, reaching over and picking up her phone.

"Hey, what's up?" she hears Trevor answer on the other end of the phone.

"Hey, so I'm thinking about going back to Arizona for a bit since you're out of state for work. But, airline prices are so expensive anymore I might just drive," she smiles.

A long pause before he answers. "For how long?"

"I don't know, a few weeks maybe?" she shrugs, resting the phone between her shoulder and ear, finally selecting some tickets.

"Alright. Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I just need to get out of this house."

"When do you plan on leaving?" he asks.

"Probably here in the next couple of days," she answers, walking to her purse and pulling out her credit card.

"Alright, well call me when you get there," he says as Juliane books the ticket.

"Okay," she nods. "Is work going okay?"

"Yeah it's alright. I'm ready to be home though. I miss you."

Juliane smiles. "I miss you too. We should be getting home the same time so it won't be too bad. I'll try not to have too much fun without you."

"Mhm," he laughs, knowing he's smirking on the other end of the phone.

"Well I'm going to get off of here and let you get back to work. I love you."

"I love you too. Goodnight babe."

Juliane pulls the phone away from her ear, the call ending. Her eyes scan over the lock screen of herself, Trevor and their daughter Morgan the night Morgan was born. Both parents smiling at the camera but exhausted. She sets her phone down on the counter and looks around, closing her eyes.
