Once being introduced to Dan, Juliane follows Link in a room in the local law enforcement building -- Éliane's hands handcuffed to table. They sit across from her.

"You wanted to talk, so talk," Link says.

"Aw, le joli couple," Éliane says in French. "I want to talk to her alone."

"Speak English because we all know you can," Juliane snaps.

"First off, I'm not going anywhere and secondly, I'm not in the mood for games Éliane. We'll both get up and leave if that's why you wanted to see us."

"I want to speak with you alone Juliane," Éliane says, cutting the French language.

Juliane chuckles. "There's no way that's going to happen. Do you want to keep your pretty face?" she raises an eyebrow.

"Éliane they're recording everything that happens in here anyway, you and I both know it. Just speak your goddamned peace"

She smirks, looking away. "I've been playing both sides for a while," she says locking her eyes back on Link's. "I tried getting Link here to see that the other side was better, more money. Then along came your husband and his dumbass tendencies."

"Ex," Juliane corrects her.

"Ex," she nods. "He was on dark web borrowing money from people that don't take lateness very well. Your ex-husband owes my employer a lot of money. Thousands. Your house was very nice. Very clean," she nods. "But, you made it too easy. Back door was unlocked. Did something happen at the dinner because Trevor said you wouldn't be home for a long--"

"What?" Juliane sits up straighter, her eyes watery. "Trevor knew you were coming?"

"What did Trevor arrange Éliane?" Link jumps up.

"Your husband was the one that was supposed to get shot. We were supposed to take baby. He was supposed to play victim and get money to pay us back. He didn't follow through with plan and baby was hurt instead."

"Was it you?" Juliane asks, a single tear rolling down her cheek.

No response.

Link slams his fist on the table and stands up. "If you do not finish telling us every fucking thing you know, I swear to God I will pull those handcuffs off of you and fucking choke you to death with them."

"Your threats don't scare me," Éliane says coldly to him. Then, turning her attention back to Juliane. "You can blame your husband for the slaying of your child."

"So you did it?" Juliane stands.

"It was her. She has a tell when she's trying to hide something and it's that fucking look she has on her face right now," Link says, walking around the table and pulling the chair she's sitting on out from under her, sliding his hands around her neck. A few agents run into the room, pulling Link off and one escorting Juliane out of the room.

"Link stand down!" an agent yells, pulling him out of the room.

"If you don't go get the piece of shit right now, I will go get him and I will kill him," Link demands the agent, referring to Trevor.

"Link. You can't attack people. You need to take a deep breath."

"I will fucking do whatever I need to do, now go get him or else I will."

"Stay here with her," the agent nods to Juliane who is sitting outside the room.

"Go get him," he says one more time before walking over. "Juliane, I'm so sorry."

"Where is he?"

"He was moved to a safe house about twenty minutes from here."

"Oh my god," she takes a deep breath, replaying what just happened in her mind.

"I'm sorry."
