E P I L O G U E

NAKASUOT KAMI ng white shirt, ID, at pantalon. Hindi na kami pinag-u-uniform this week dahil wala nang masiyadong ginagawa. Naghihintay na lang kami sa graduation. Tinatapos na lang ang clearance.

Nandito kami sa gymnasium ng FA nila Rheuben, Rene, at Leigh; magkakatabing nakaupo sa may bench dito. Nag-attend ng isang event kada taon sa Academy na 'to. Ang event ay para purihin ang Diyos dahil isang school year na naman ang nalalapit nang matapos. Ang tagumpay na 'to ay dahil sa kanya. All by His grace!

Ang kumakanta at tumutugtog sa stage ay sila ring nasa flag ceremony nang unang pasok ko sa Academy na 'to.

Nakataas ang mga kamay nila kaya gumaya ako. Ngayon lang ako naka-attend ng ganitong event. Nakatayo kami sa gitna ng gymnasium. Naririnig kong sumasabay ang mga tao rito sa kanta, umiiyak, nagagalak, at iba pang emosyon. Basta ang mahalaga ay ang heart. Hindi lang estudyante ng FA ang mga nandito, kun'di ang mga teacher din. Unfamiliar ang song pero nababasa naman ang lyrics sa stage. May PowerPoint na naka-projector.

I feel goosebumps. "Yes, He is alive!" I believe it with all my heart. Iyon ang rason kung bakit nagpapatuloy sa laban ng faith. He is alive.

"Yes Lord, I believe!" sigaw ko. May kagandahan sa kabila ng hindi magandang nangyari at brokenness. Nakaka-amaze nang sobra ang Lord dahil nakaplano na ang lahat.

Naalala ko tuloy si Mariam sa banda na mourning to dancing kasi noong Junior High, naka-smile araw-araw 'yon. I miss them. Sana nandito sila pero nabanggit naman nila na may youth jam sa San Sebastian na gaganapin.

Nakaka-bless ang mga kanta. "The old is gone, the new has come!" sigaw ko. "Ang old ay past na 'yon! Praise the Lord for making us new creation!"

"Yes, Amen!" Narinig ata ako ni Rene at napalingon ako sa kanya. Nag-smile siya kaya ngumiti na lang din ako sa kanya.
