NAKANGITI na bumalik sa hall si Mirielle. She acted as if Ryker never said anything that hurt her feelings. She needs to survive this night because she'll make sure that this will be the last night she will be dealing with her past.

Bumalik siya sa tabi ng ama.

"Where have you been? Magsisimula na ang second part ng auction." Sinuri ng ama ang kanyang mukha.

Ngumiti siya rito bago sumagot.

"Galing ako sa washroom. Medyo maraming tao kaya natagalan ako."

Tumango lang ang ama niya saka ibinalik ang tingin sa platform kung saan naroon ang emcee.

"And for the second part and the most awaited part of tonight's event, we call it the 'Date with Elite'. Date with Elite was agreed upon by 80 percent of the businessmen in here. In this event the gorgeous and beautiful single daughters of the business men will be auctioned tonight by the handsome sons of business men. We only have five single women present tonight. So for all the single men in here, you are free to bid a huge amount of money for a date with the beautiful single girls we will present later." Sandaling huminto ang emcee nang may ibinulong ang isang babae rito. "It came to me that these girls were not informed about this date with elite. Sigurado akong magugulat ang mga tatawagin ko. Let me clarify one thing, this event was agreed upon by your parents ladies. Kung may reklamo kayo nariyan naman sa tabi ninyo ang inyong mga magulang."

Nagbulungan ang mga tao sa loob ng hall lalo na ang mga anak ng mga negosyante na naroon. Siya naman ay napatingin sa ama na ngumiti sa kanya ng makahulugan. Somethings off.

"To start the second part, may I request Miss Tracey Staheli to come up on stage."

Gulat ang mukha ni Tracey ng marinig ang pangalan. Mabilis na nagbago ang ekspresyon nito nang tumingin sa mga magulang na nasa tabi nito. Masama ang tingin na pinukol nito sa ama ngunit nang may ibinulong ang ama nito ay umamo ang mukha ni Tracey at ngumiti. Mukhang may deal na inihain ang ama nito para pumayag si Tracey.

"Miss Tracey Staheli is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Travis Staheli of S&M Hospital." The emcee introduced Tracey to the crowd. "Miss Tracey is an outgoing person. She loves to travel and to do out of this world thing, if you know what I mean. So to the single men in here, just raise your card if you want a date with this beautiful lady with me."

Pagkatapos magsalita ng emcee ay limang card agad ang tumaas. She scanned the faces of the men who raised their cards. All of them are handsome. Ang nag-iisang tanong ay kaya ba nilang sabayan ang trip ng kaibigan niya?

The bid went higher until this one man raised the bid to ten million pesos until no one bid higher than that. She wondered who's that guy was. He spent 10 million just for a date. Tracey really has that beauty to catch someone's eyes.

"Congratulations, Mr. Bonifacio! You will be Miss Staheli's date for a day." The crowd applauded as the emcee announced the final bid. "The 24 hour date will start tomorrow. Good luck."

Nakita niya ang pilit na ngiti sa labi ni Tracey habang naglalakad pabalik sa table ng mga magulang. Nakabusangot ang mukha nito nang maupo.

Natawa na lamang siya rito nang tumingin sa kanya.

"For the next lady to be auctioned for a date, may I call on Ms. Angelique Yason on stage." Lumakas ang bulungan ng mga tao nang nakangiting umakyat sa platform si Angelique. "Many of you maybe asking why Ms. Yason was included in the list though we all know that she was married to Mr. Von Allmen. She still considered single because they got divorced a year ago and we all know that she's not dating anyone since they got divorced. Maybe this their second chance. We never can tell. "
