Part 2
"Considering that I'm her best friend," Jungkook yanked Y/n by the arm. "She's staying here." "Shouldn't you be with your wife?" she removes herself from his grip, standing by Wooyoung.
"This is what you do, Y/n? You choose outsiders over us?! I've known you since we were babies!" Jungkook was furious, skin turning pink.
She felt terrible. But she wasn't the only one who was a bad friend.
"You're joking right?" Y/n finally spoke. "I came to this damn wedding to support you, like I've always been doing, ever since you and the boys debuted!" A crowd was forming outside but she didn't care.
"Saved up money, just so I could see and support you. I've been there for every heartbreak, every struggle, every argument, all of it! And you're mad because I don't kiss your feet because you just so happened to marry one of Korea's most beautiful singer? Are you fucking kidding me?!"
"Baby, that's enough." Wooyoung grabbed her arm, only for her to move it. Jungkook was breathing heavily as he looked at her face, her makeup ruined. "No! It was dumb for me to show up. I can't believe that I became friends with someone so selfish. I also can't believe that I used to love you!"
Jungkook felt his gaze soften. "used to?" He thought. "Yeah, I used to love you. I loved you a lot. Everyone always warned me, saying that you were selfish but I thought they were crazy because they didn't see the you that I seen. But they were right! They were right..." her voice cracked, looking around she noticed those looking in pity and others in shock.
She fixed her posture, wiping her face, and clearing her throat. "But don't worry, I'll always support the boys. They supported me when I continuously got hurt by you so it's only fair that I return that love back to them because they did nothing for them not to deserve it!"
Jungkook reached for her, only for her to slap his hand away. "And on that note.... I'm out of here." She pushed past Wooyoung and began running, not caring if she was in heels.
...
It's been over a year since the altercation and confession.
That very night, Jungkook repeatedly called and texted begging her to pick up the phone, but to no avail. She had already blocked his number.
Wooyoung and her have been working on their own relationship. They decided to take it slow on dating due to her broken heart but he was willing to wait for her.
Jungkook and his relationship with Ji-eun was going well, Jungkook having to see therapy after losing someone he considered family.
He was watching the masked singer, stuck on the one artist. He wasn't always able to figure out who it was but their voice was familiar.

As the judges complemented them, picking between IU, Hyeri, and even K.Will himself, they asked them to remove the mask.It was as if he was eager and ready to watch. As the mask came off, the singer turned around and Jungkook dropped his empty plate. "Jungkook I just bought-"
He shushed Ji-eun as they both looked at the television. Y/n was live on a well known show. The host even asked her why the somber but soulful song choice.
"I loved his voice and the song is something that I'm sure plenty people along with myself has felt. The emotions were raw and true and it was my truth."
