"Hindi ka ba giniginaw dito?" Tanong ni Francine kay Gab nang lapitan niya ito. It was a cold afternoon and Gab was siting on his wheel chair near the infinity pool overlooking a beautiful scenery of a sunset against the foggy backdrop of the elevated landscape of the mansion.

"No. I like it here." Sagot ng binata. "Come here." Yaya nito sa kaniya at pianupo siya sa isang bench sa tabi nito. Umupo naman siya. How could she resist being that close to Gab in this very romantic scenery.

"Alam mo, bata palang ako, this is my favorite spot in this house. Its nice and quite, lalo na kapag sunset. I love the sunset. Some people say sunset it is the saddest part of the day." Kwento ni Gab.

"Do you agree with that?" Tanong niya sa binata. Nakita niyang lumamlam ang mga mata nito.

"Yes, I agree." Ngumiti ito sa kanya. It's a sad smile.

"Ganun naman pala, bakit mo pa pinapanood ang sunset?" She asked him.

"I dont know." Kibit balikat nito. "I just love sunset. Yes, it does make me sad. Really sad... you wont even understand. But i dont know why it also makes me feel calm and at peace. Siguro it just became part of my life, nasanay na siguro ako."

Napatingin siya dito. The sunset was reflecting in his glistening eyes.

"Lagi akong nagpupunta dito, lalo na when I'm left... alone. O kaya kapag natatakot ako. So I would feel calm and sad, it comforts me." Huminga ito ng malalim.

"Gab, a-are you okay?" Tanong niya.

"Yeah I'm okay." Ngumiti ito uli sa kanya. Another sad smile.

"Parang hindi naman. Bakit ka ba malungkot?" Pangugulit niya dito.

"No. I'm not." Sagot nito sa kanya. "Ikaw, what makes you sad, or happy?" Tanong nito sa kaniya.

"Mmmm, my mom makes me happy. Her memories and our experiences when shes still with me makes me happy... and sad." She answered. May bahagyang kirot siyang naramdaman sa puso niya nang maalala ang ina.

"Ahm, why? Where is she?" Tanong ni Gab.

"She's up there." She looked up in the sky.

"I-Im sorry, i didnt know-

"No. It's okay."

"What about your dad?" Muling tanong ni Gab.

"Uhm, Gab... can we not talk about him." Pakiusap niya sa binata. Aminado siyang masakit pa sa kanya ang nangyari, hindi niya alam kung kailan mawawala ito.

"Sorry." Ngumiti ito sa kanya. "I guess being a dad is the toughest job in the world, they always mess up." Mahinang dugtong ni Gab.

"H-Ha?-

"Wala." Sabi nito. "Look." Turo nito sa reflection ng paglubog ng araw sa tubig ng swimming pool.

"Oh, it's beautiful!" Nasambit niya. The setting sun seemed to be floating in the soft and silky riffles of the water. Yes, it's calming and magical.

"So beautiful." Mahinang sabi ni Gab. Napatingin siya dito. He's staring at her, with his dreamy eyes. Her heartbeat begun to race. Hinawakan nito ang mga kamay niya. They felt so warm and gentle. She looked into his eyes. They looked captivating. She felt confused.

"G-Gab, why are you doing this?" Sa wakas ay tanong niya sa binata. She doesn't want to assume anything but Gab has been showing her sweet actuations lately. He's been sending food and flowers sa bahay nila kapag umuuwi siya. Halos hindi din siya nito pinagtatrabaho baka daw mapagod siya. He talked to her in the gentlest way possible. And many other things na ang gumagawa lang ay ang isang lalaking nanliligaw sa isang babae. At babae siya, and it's tearing down her defenses. Gab was tearing down the defenses she had built to protect herself. Gab was making it hard for her.
