"I can't understand how some people take showers in the mornings rather than at night." Harvey ripped his pizza in half as I watched him from across the table.

I look over at Kyndra as she was staring at him with the same look I was giving him, trying to figure out what he was actually talking about.

"I take showers at night. Like a normal person." He said.

"You're normal?" Kyndra snorted.

He gives her a blank look before looking back at his pizza, which was dripping with grease from his hands. I made a face before picking at my salad, looking for the chicken that was located beneath the lettuce.

"Anyways, showers? Morning or night?"

"I take either. It doesn't matter when anyone takes showers."

He looks at me with his face full of pizza before swallowing. "Addy? Morning or night?"

I shrug as I stabbed a lettuce with my fork. "I prefer night, but I don't mind taking one in the mornings."

"Fair enough. But think about it. You sweat all day and you take a nice, hot or cold shower at night to get rid of all the nastiness. You go to bed with freshly clean sheets and sleep in a cloud of comfort."

Kyndra looks at me before crossing her eyes, indicating that Harvey was an idiot.

Lunch time the time where we share stories that sometimes doesn't make any sense. We usually go out to eat somewhere, but that requires money which none of us has.

We settle for the school lunch or just pack our own lunch.

As for me, I prefer packing my lunch cause the school lunch isn't edible and I don't really find it appetizing. I don't know what it is about school lunches just want to poison their students.

"How can you eat that?" Kyndra asks. "That thing is sitting in saturated fat and it's dripping with grease."

I smile as I took a bite of my salad, watching them talk about the pizza that was laying on Harvey's plate.

The thing with Kyndra is she's a health freak. She doesn't eat junk especially greasy food. I think she eats a few chocolate bars, cakes and things like that but nothing too much that makes her feel terrible.

She tried getting us to do that same, but Harvey wasn't going to do that. He's more of a junk food type, which doesn't care about what he puts in his body.

I'm in between. I like junk and healthy food, so I'm not picky and I don't choose sides.

Food is food.

Staying healthy is just slowing the process of death.

"Well, I'm done." Harvey burped before standing up and throwing his plate away. There was a trash can near our table outside, so it was very convenient.

After I was finished with my salad, Harvey offered to throw my container away. I thanked him before wiping my mouth then taking a sip of my drink, which was an energy drink.

Kyndra was on her phone as Harvey came back and sat down. I smile at him as I sat my drink down then leaned my elbows on the table. "So, what's the plan for this weekend?"

"I'm free." Harvey shrugs.

We both look at Kyndra as she looks up from her phone. "I don't have anything to do, so I'm also free." She smiles. "What do you want to do?"

I shrug, looking at them both maybe hoping they can come up with something. This town isn't the biggest or the most thrilling, but maybe we can find something to do.
