Thirty Six

Spending time together as a family is always fun and exciting. Sometimes it's embarrassing cause of how mom tries to act young, but other than that it's fun and I enjoy it a lot.

Mom decided to take us to some restuarant to eat, then get some ice cream and ride around the town.

There weren't much to do around here, but mom made it happen by taking us to different locations around the town.

It was a pretty fun night and we stayed out for a while until mom got tired then we had to go home.

I wasn't complaining though, cause I knew that I get to spend time with Dylan as soon as we got back home.

"Are you going back to Katie's tonight or tomorrow, Caleb?" Mom asks as she was driving.

Caleb looks over at her for a moment. "Probably tomorrow. Not sure yet."

"Are y'all dating now?"

"No." He shook his head. "Still seeing each other but I really like her."

Mom smiles as I could see from the backseat. "Bring her over and let me meet this girl."

I chuckle as I look down at my phone as I was texting Dylan, letting her know that we were on our way back and I could come to her house.

After a few more minutes, mom was pulling up in our driveway and I couldn't help but smile. I got out then walked around the car before seeing mom get out and look over at me.

She glanced over at Dylan's, before looking back at me. "Don't stay long."

I nod as I walked across our yard and into Dylan's. I went to her door then knocked and waited until she answered.

When the door opened, she smiled at me before allowing me to walk further in. She shut the door behind me then I followed her to the living room and sat on the couch with her.

"So, what did you want to talk about?"

She leans back and looks at me before smiling. "Not really sure. I just wanted to talk." I nod as I look over at the tv then back at her. "Did you have a great time with your mom and brother?"

"Yeah, it was fun. We ate out then went around town and ate ice cream. Mom showed me this fountain that was located in town and it was pretty."

"That's good." She smiles.

I watch her for a moment. "Where's Tanner?"

"His dad came and got him earlier."

I nod as I look around for a moment. "So, I've been meaning to ask you this." She nods as she was looking at me. "You're twenty nine and he's fourteen. You were fifteen when you had him?"

She nods then moves a little to situate herself. "Yeah.. I met his dad when I was fourteen and I went out with him a few times. We ended up having sex and even though we used protection, I still got pregnant."

Nodding, I was glad to hear that cause I was thinking of something totally different. "How did you manage to raise a kid when you were young?"

"I had help from my dad of course and Ashton was still in the picture. He stayed and helped me raise Tanner. We got married when I was twenty and after that, everything was ok for me."

Listening to her stories, I honestly loved hearing things about her. I wanted to know everything about her and it makes me listen to every story she tells me.

"I sent those restraining orders off."

"Really?"

She nods. "Yep. So now, Colton cannot be near me at all."
