I woke up to the sound of a door shutting, which made me wake up in a heart beat. I leaned up and rubbed my eyes, feeling the pain from my head come back. It was gone for a little while as I was sleeping, but I woke up and now it's back again.

Looking around in the darkness, the only light I could see was coming from the tv. I look around and saw Dylan sitting on the couch, asleep. She had her head turned, leaning on the couch and I couldn't help but stare at her until I heard noises.

I got up and walked out of the living room to see my mom walking through the hall. I waited until she turned on the lights, which scared her shitless when she saw me.

"Addison!?" She held her chest. " Sweetie, what are you doing awake?" She looks at me for a moment before her facial expressions turned into worry. "What happened to your head?"

"I was playing catch with Dylan and the ball hit me. It's ok, I'm fine."

She continues to look at me. "Are you ok? Where's Dylan?"

"On the couch asleep, and I'm fine."

Nodding, she sighs before hanging her keys up on the hook. "Ok, well I'll let her sleep here. You need to go back to bed, baby. It's after midnight. We'll see how you feel, and I'll take a look at your head to see if you're able to go to school."

I slightly smile at her before walking upstairs and to my room. I rubbed my eyes as I walked in then turned on my lava lamp, making the room light up just enough.

As I laid down in my bed, I placed my phone on the table then charged it before leaning back and staring at the ceiling.

I thought about what happened earlier and still couldn't wrap my head around it.

When she touched me, it felt like all my problems melted away. I didn't think about my past, or my depression. I had no thoughts or fears in my head when she touched me.

When she touched me, everything faded away.

Turning over, I tried not thinking about it much as I knew that I had to go to sleep or I'll never want to wake up in the morning.

"I want some coffee." Kyndra smiles as she see's the container in my hands. I smile at her as I handed her the container and watch as she took a long, slow sip before giving me the container. "Yummy."

When I came to school, Kyndra freaked out over my head. I told her that I got hit when Dylan and I were playing catch.

She said that she must have threw that ball pretty damn hard.

I told her I just didn't have fast reflexes.

Kyndra kept making sure I was feeling ok for the last ten minutes. She was looking at me as we were sitting outside, asking how I felt every few seconds.

I kept telling her I was fine, but she said she was going to continue to make sure I'm ok.

Even the nurse asked what happened when I went to give her my meds. I told her that I was playing catch with someone and didn't move out of the way fast enough.

The bruise wasn't that bad this morning, although it was still a bruise but not as bad. I saw it yesterday afternoon and didn't realize it was going to be that big on my head.

It hurt like a bitch.

I slept fine though.

Dylan and I stayed up until ten, watching tv or playing games. We didn't talk about what happened. We didn't even bring it up, so it was as if it didn't happen.
