Play Pretend by Kasbo^
After I got back from Dylan's, I had a stupid smile on my face and tried not to let it show when I went back home. I didn't want to make mom suspicious but it was hard when all I could think about was what happened earlier.
When I brought over the flowers, teddy bear and chocolate, mom was surprised. Dylan helped bring over the cake, and we already ate some after sex.
I literally couldn't keep my eyes off of her when she was talking to mom. I watched her eyes as they glanced at me every second and smiled.
Mom took me out to grab a few things. She bought me some more clothes and whatever else I wanted. I told I didn't need anymore things, but she insisted that since it was my birthday she was going to buy whatever I wanted.
We spent a few hours together and it was getting time for Kyndra to come get me. I knew she had something crazy planned, but when I asked what she never told me.
Said it was a surprise.
Caleb came over and gave me a bunch of junk food, plus some video games. I thanked him by hugging him and telling him how much I loved him.
Katie came over too and told me happy birthday. She said she bought everything for me, but Caleb picked it out.
I thanked her and decided to go play my games until Kyndra came over.
Mom sat behind me on the couch. "Did you have a good birthday?"
I look over at her and smiled. "Of course."
"It's not over yet." She smiled before looking at the watch on her wrist. "When is Kyndra supposed to come get you?"
"Around six."
I looked at my game and started playing, feeling my mom behind me as she was getting situated on the couch.
She started reading a book as I was playing my game. I honestly couldn't ask for anything better cause everything was perfect right now.
I never imagined having a life where I actually loved and didn't want to end it all.
After hours of playing my games, I got a text from Kyndra telling me she was on her way to pick me up.
I stopped playing, turned everything off then went upstairs and got changed. I asked Kyndra what I should wear, and she said anything comfortable so I went with my ripped jeans and a regular shirt.
My hair was up in a ponytail cause it was too damn hot for it to be down. I made sure I had everything when I heard a car horn outside, knowing it was Kyndra.
Running downstairs, I told my mom by before hugging her and running out the door. I saw Kyndra in her car, blasting music and making sure all the neighbors could hear.
She started honking the horn, which made me jump and glare at her as I was trying to get into the car. I shook my head when I got in then looked over at her as she turned the music down and smiled at me.
"Happy Birthday!" She screamed. I watch as she stuck her head out the window. "Bye Miss Charlotte!"
I saw my mom standing at the door, waving at us. I shook my head before putting my seat belt on as she was backing out of the driveway.
Once we got on the road, she turned the music back up and I stared at her as she was dancing around.
Looking out the window, I saw a few of my neighbors outside and knew that they could hear us and was about to stare us down when we started driving.
