What if by Johnny Orlando^

"What time is it?"

I was wrapping in Dylan's arms. We were watching movies and talking. Mostly talking since the movie didn't interest us enough.

"Around seven." She was gently caressing my arm. "Your mom will be home soon."

I nodded as I kept my head on her shoulder, not thinking about anything else other than being here with Dylan.

"If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" That has crossed my mind a few times.

"I'm twenty nine."

Smiling, I snuggled my head against her shoulder a little more. "Not bad. " I heard her chuckle.

The tv was softly playing but it was mostly background noises. The light was giving the living room a light color, illuminating across the ceiling and walls.

"Addy?"

"Hmm?"

"Can I ask you something? If it triggers you then I won't continue."

I was all ears by now, waiting for her to continue as I nodded my head.

"What happened in your past that made you fear of being close to someone?"

It was silent for a moment or two. I didn't know what to say cause I couldn't think of the words to say. Nothing was coming out of my mouth because I knew bringing up my past was something that has been weighing me down.

After a moment of not speaking, Dylan must have understood my silence. "I'm sorry."

"It's ok." I sigh. "I can't really talk about it.."

I felt her arm tighten around me and I couldn't help but smile.

Being here with Dylan felt right. It felt like I belonged in her arms cause everything else vanished around us.

Everything was still a little weird for me though. Ever since yesterday and all that happened, being touched for the first time in years and just letting everything around me fade away made it all seemed a little strange for me.

Maybe because I haven't felt physical contact in years and Dylan was the first one to touch me, making all of this a little hard to comprehend.

All cause of her.

But as I was wrapped in her arms, nothing else mattered. Nothing was holding me back and wanting to push her away. It was wanting her closer to me.

"Addy?" Dylan whispered.

"Yeah?" I remained in the comfort of her arms, waiting for her to speak.

The feeling of her touch on my arm made my eyes close, wanting to feeling to last forever and never end.

"I really like you."

Opening my eyes, I lift my head up to see her looking at me. I couldn't help but smile as I stared into her green eyes, feeling an overwhelming explosion inside my chest.

"I like you." I spoke.

She looked a little surprised then a smile crept on her face. "Really?" I nod as I placed my head back on her shoulder. "I think I liked you a few days after we moved in." She caressed my arm. "There was just something about you."

I smiled at that. "I think I started liking you when you started babysitting me." I heard her chuckle. "I felt... different when you were around."

"Good different?"
