It was getting closer to the end of the school year, with graduation right around the corner. It was unreal how close it was but also very scary.
The last week has been nothing but amazing with Dylan. We hung out at night when mom had to work, watched movies and I cooked for her and she loved the food.
When mom was home, Dylan found ways to come over and see me. I found it super cute and couldn't contain all these emotions that were running through my chest when she was near.
It's something very new that I'm still getting used to.
Our relationships or whatever this was, wasn't really getting in the way of what we felt for each other. We didn't really label ourselves as a couple or anything yet, cause we were still just seeing where this was leading to.
Mom was off for a week and I knew she was happy about it.
I told Kyndra everything and she freaked out like always.
Caleb has been seeing Katie for the last few weeks and he finally told mom about her. She was caught off guard but happy for him, telling him that she wanted to meet her soon.
I couldn't wait for that.
"Hey mom?" I walked down the stairs and saw her in the living room, sitting on the couch while reading a book.
She smiles. "Hey, sweetie. Dylan just called and said she had something for us. Mind going to get it?"
"Of course." I smile.
"She sure is sending us a lot of dessert lately. Not sure if she just has a lot of that or if she's making it specially for us."
Smiling, I nod. "I'll be back." I walk to the front door before walking out. I walked across our yard then into Dylan's yard.
When I knocked on the door, I looked aorund for a moment before the door opened. I smiled at her before being pulled inside and wrapped into her arms.
"Ugh, I missed you."
I smiled, wrapping my arms around her as well. "I missed you too. Where's Tanner?"
"He's with a friend tonight."
This last week without her was pretty rough. We've spent every afternoon together for almost a month now, and being away from each other always makes it a little harder.
"Mom said you have something for us." I watch as she grabbed my hand, pulling me into the kitchen.
She smiles over at me before releasing my hand. "Yeah, but it was mostly to get you over here."
"I figured." I chuckle. I watch as she opens the fridge and pulls out a cake, which looked really good. "Ok, so what's up with all the baking? I mean, I'm not complaining or talking bad about it but it seems like you really enjoy it."
She smiles as she places the cake on the counter. "I really do enjoy it. I loved baking my whole life ever since I was a little girl. My dad would always show me new recipes and everything that made me love it more."
I smiled as she was talking about how she grew up to love baking. I loved hearing her talk about something she truly enjoyed and was passionate about.
"My mom passed away when I was five. Leaving my dad to watch over me. He showed me so many things about baking and cooking that I fell in love with it. My dad passed away when I was twenty two."
I made a face. "I'm so sorry."
She slightly smiled. "It's ok."
I decided to change the subject. "Have you ever thought about owning a bakery?"
