Third Person POV

As soon as Dylan got the call, she was speeding to the hospital.

It's been a few days until she finally heard something about Addy and her emotions were going completely crazy at this point.

She couldn't sleep or eat. She constantly worried and called Charlotte to see if she heard anything, but it was the same thing over and over again.

Finally, she got a call from Charlotte that Addy was awake and she could come see her.

Her heart was beating normal again as she was trying to calm her nerves on the way to the hospital. She knew that the moment her eyes saw Addy, she was going to break down crying about what happened.

When she arrived at the hospital, she rushed inside before going to the front desk and asking about Addison Torress.

The lady gave her the room and floor she was on. Dylan thanked her before rushing to the elevators and going to the fourth floor.

She leaned against the wall and was waiting patiently as the numbers were going up. They finally stopped at four and the door to the elevator opened.

She rushed out, looking for room four thirty six, frantically looking around until she saw it and stopped at the door.

Taking a deep breath, she opened the door then heard voices as she entered. She came into view of Charlotte sitting on the edge of the bed and when her eyes caught Addy's, she broke down.

Charlotte stood up and walked to her, telling her it was ok. She told her that Addy was doing fine, but she couldn't move or hardly talk as of right now.

Dylan sat on the bed and looked at Addy, who was looking back at her. She slowly reached for her hand before grabbing it and holding it tightly.

After a moment, Charlotte left to give them privacy.

Dylan stared at their hands until she looks up at Addy, who was watching her. "I love you so much and I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for not listening to you when you said Colton was planning something. I should have never let him in my house or around me in the first place."

She sighs then lifts their hands, kissing the back of Addy's. "It's all my fault you're in this situation and I'm so sorry, Addy."

Addy stared at her before lifting her hand up towards her face and gently caressing it. In Addy's mind, she never blamed Dylan for what happened. She blamed herself for calling the cops and letting Colton shoot her.

But having Dylan here made Addy happy and she was glad to be alive.

Dylan stayed at Addy's side throughout the whole time she was at the hospital. She never left her side, never went back home and never left.

She stayed right there with her the whole time, holding her hand, telling her how much she loved her and never leaving.

They watched tv together as Dylan sat in the chair next to her. When Addy would eat, Dylan would watch her and make sure she was eating ok.

She still couldn't eat a lot cause of where the bullet went in. The gun had fired below her breasts, not yet touching her stomach.

So eating a lot of food wasn't good and she couldn't hardly eat.

Dylan kept a close eye on her throughout the nights she stayed there and the day.

She listened to every word the doctor told her about what would be happening the next few weeks when she finally gets released.

Charlotte was in the room also, listening to the doctor and everything he was saying.

As Dylan was listening to the doctor, she felt Addy grab her hand. She looks down at it before looking over at her as she smiling. She felt Addy squeeze her hand and it made her smile.

The days went on and Addy was starting to improve in a lot of things. She started talking again, which was hard but she managed to get a few words out each day and Dylan was proud of her.

When Addy had to do physical therapy, Dylan was nervous as she watched a woman come and help her out of bed before walking out of the room each day.

Charlotte came in a few times, telling Dylan that she needed to go home, relax and come back but Dylan refused to do so.

She wasn't going to leave Addy's side, so she was staying here for how ever long it takes.

The food she ate at the hospital was nasty and she was tired of it. She sighed as she sat in the room alone as Addy was doing physical therapy. She stared at the ceiling for what felt like hours, waiting for her to come back.

When she did come back, she was laying back in her bed and Dylan watched her the whole time as she was laying there.

Addy looks over at her and smiled slightly before reaching her hand out. Dylan grabs it before moving her chair closer to the bed, never letting her hand go.

"I... love you." Addy spoke, which made Dylan smile before squeezing her hand.

"I love you too. So much."

Addy stared at Dylan as she looking back at her. The only noise in the room was the tv softly playing. Addy smiled at her before moving a little but winced in pain.

"Baby, don't move."

"I wanna face you." Addy whispered, turning over slowly before she was facing Dylan.

Dylan slightly smiled before reaching up and caressing her cheek. She had so much love for her and she didn't know what she would have done if Addy didn't make it.

"I'm so glad you're ok." Dylan whispered. "I was so damn scared, Addy. I thought I lost you.... again."

Addy smiled before lifting her hand up and touching Dylan's face. "I.. wouldn't leave you."

Dylan placed her lips on her hand that was interlocked with Addy's. She stared at her for a moment before feeling tears roll down her cheek. "I promise that for now on.. I will protect you with everything in me. I will not let anything or anyone ever hurt you again."

Addy smiled, staring at Dylan as she desperately wanted to kiss her. Her eyes glanced down at her lips a few times and Dylan finally got the message.

Dylan slowly leans over and gently presses her lips against Addy's, feeling a sensation that ran through her body like an electrical shock, waking her up.

When they pull back, they stared at each other for what felt like hours but it was only a few minutes.

The door opened to the room and Dylan pulled away for a moment until she saw Charlotte walk in. She talked to Dylan about the situation where Addy will get to come home and Dylan was beyond happy.

She knew that once she got home, everything was going to be a little different but she knew that as long as she was near Addy, helping her and always being there for her, then nothing will be different after all.
