"Hey!"
I jumped then turned around and saw Kyndra standing in my room, smiling at me. I heard my chest then breathed out, staring at her.
"What the hell, Kyndra?"
She starts laughing then jumps on my bed. I watch as she spreads her arms and legs out, taking up the whole bed before looking at me. "What's up, babe?"
"What are you doing here?"
"Came to surprise my best friend." She smiles. "Wanna go out and have lunch?" I watch as she looks at her phone. "Or is it brunch?"
Shaking my head, I was in the middle of folding my clothes up until I almost had a heart attack from my friend.
It was Saturday morning. Mom was sleeping since she had to work all night and Caleb was in his room, probably sleeping also.
"Uh, sure."
Turning around, I folded the rest of my clothes up before placing them in my dresser. I turn around to see Kyndra sitting up, looking at her phone.
When she looks at me, she smiles. "Where's Caleb?"
"Sleeping. Mom is sleeping also."
She smiles. "Aw, I wanna see mom." She looks back down at her phone. "I asked Harvey if he wanted to come with us but he said he had something to do."
"Well, looks like it's just us."
"I'm ok with that." She smiles. "How's Dylan?"
Looking at her, I look over somewhere else trying to avoid this conversation. I still haven't told her what happened with Dylan and I, but I wasn't sure what to say now.
There wasn't anything going on between us.
"Um, nothing?" I shrug then grabbed my phone from the table.
When I looked back at her, she was watching me. "That didn't sound like nothing." She chuckles.
I shrug again. "I don't know."
"Ok.." She stands up. "You ready to go?"
Nodding, I put my shoes on before following her out of my room and downstairs.
I was glad Kyndra came by unexpectedly, because I needed to get away for a while. I was still thinking about Dylan and thoughts were killing me.
When we walked outside, I tried not to look over at her house but it was hard to do so. I managed to steal a glance over there, then saw Colton's truck parked in the driveway like it has been for the last few days.
"Kyndra, I need to talk to you about something." I look over at her as we both got into her car. I knew that if I told her everything then maybe it'll help me a little.
Something has to help me.
*
I told Kyndra everything that happened between Dylan and I these last few days. I told her everything, including everything that happened after I got hit in the head and she carried me inside.. then touched me and everything just vanished.
She was staring at me across the table, looking at me in complete shock. Her eyes never left mine and her mouth was slightly open, with no words coming out.
"Addy.." She continued to look at me. "that's.. I don't know what to say. That's a lot to take in." She picks up her coffee before taking a sip. "So, when she touched you.."
I sigh as I lean back. "Yeah. Everything that I went through for the past nine years just vanished."
"Damn." She crossed her arms as she leans back and smiles at me. "So, what does this mean for y'all? Y'all admitted your feelings for each other."
