The week went by pretty fast. It was almost Spring Break and I couldn't wait to go camping with my friends. I told mom about it and she liked the idea, so I knew that as soon as Spring Break came, I was out of here.

Mom was off the remainder of the week and I knew she was glad.

Now that mom was off, I get to come home and enjoy her company.

As for me, I didn't get to see Dylan any but I don't think that was a bad thing.

Allowing myself to like someone isn't something I can do. I try avoiding feelings as much as possibly cause of the outcome.

Last time I liked someone was when I was a freshman. I knew this girl in my Algebra class, but I had to eventually stop liking her cause I couldn't allow myself to.

So, I have to get over Dylan.

Liking someone leads to feelings.

Feelings leads to emotions.

Emotions leads to an outcome that I can't handle.

I'm never going to have a normal relationship with anyone cause I can't allow someone to get close enough to me to even start a relationship.

"Addy?"

I look up from my bed to see my mom standing in the doorway. "When are ya'll leaving next week?"

Next week was Spring Break and I was going camping with my friends. I honestly couldn't wait cause it'll get my mind off of things.

"Kyndra said Wednesday morning."

She nods then smiles, looking around. "Ok. Be careful. Take your medicine." I nod as I watch her leave the room, then I leaned back against my headboard.

As I was sitting there, staring across the room. I heard noises from outside of my window. I sat up then leaned over the headboard to look out the window.

I saw Dylan and that man standing outside. I had my window open, so I could easily hear what they were saying.

"You're always gone, Colton. Every single day. Not just working either cause I know you're not!"

Dylan threw her hands up and turned around, walking back towards the house.

Colton walked a little ways then stopped. "Look, I come home and treat you right! I don't understand what your problem is."

Dylan wasn't in sight anymore, but she kept talking to him as I was listening to the whole conversation.

"So, you're spying now?"

I turn to see Caleb standing in the doorway, smiling at me. I roll my eyes before turning fully around and sitting on the bed. "Not as bad as you do."

He shrugs then walks further in before sitting on the edge of the bed. "I think someone has a crush."

"Yeah, that's you." I chuckle. "You've been crushing on her ever since they moved in."

Shaking his head, he smiles at me. "I can tell you're enjoying her company, Addy. I saw the way you looked at her when I came home yesterday."

"Look, even if I do have a crush on her.. it's nothing." I cross my arms as he looks at me.

He chuckles. "Whatever, Addy."

After he leaves, I lean my head against the headboard before shutting my eyes and letting my mind completely go blank.
