Song^ Standing With You by Guy Sebastian
One Year Later
"And so, by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you Mrs. and Mrs. Pierce. You may kiss the bride."
Everyone cheered and it echoed off the church walls. I stared at the woman in front of me before feeling her cup my face and our lips met.
Pulling her closer to me, I felt her smile against my lips until we pulled back and stared at each other for a moment. I ignored everyone else in the church as my only focus was on my wife.
Our wedding was something I'd never imagine. I never thought I'd even get married, let alone fall in love with someone who completely changed my life for the better.
When Dylan asked me to marry her, I was caught off guard but a part of me wanted to marry her. I just wasn't sure if we were rushing into something but I knew that rushing isn't really a bad thing when you're in love.
Dylan bought a ring a week later after she asked, then proposed to me one night when we were cuddling on the couch.
I couldn't believe she actually bought a ring, but she said it didn't feel official without a ring.
Mom freaked out when we told her. She said she's been waiting for a moment like this, either Caleb gets married first or I did.
She said she was going to help plan the wedding and everything else and it surprised me on how happy she was about it.
Dylan told Tanner one day and he was happy for us. He suggested that he'll be our photographer and we instantly said yes.
He was happy that he gets to capture our wedding day and asked his dad if he'll buy him new lenses for his camera.
When I told Kyndra, she freaked out like I've never seen her before. She came over and we talked about it and she said she wanted to help me pick out a dress and get my hair done.
Harvey was helping too and he was extremely happy for me. He said it felt weird still with everything, but he eventually got use to it and helped me buy a dress and get my hair done.
But I never imagined walking down the aisle, especially at age twenty one. I was nervous but also excited and my stomach had knots in it the whole time the ceremony was going.
Before we started our ceremony, Tanner had us do a photoshoot beforehand. Since we couldn't see each other before the wedding, we did a touch surprise where we stood behind each other facing the other way and our hands touched.
I couldn't wait to see those photos.
Everything slowed down the moment Dylan walked down the aisle with Ashton on her arm. Since her dad passed and he wasn't here to give her away, I decided to ask the only other person I know.
Some people would find this situation awkward since they were once married, but Ashton didn't have a problem with it.
He said he'd love to walk her down the aisle and I was a little surprised he agreed.
Her dress was amazingly beautiful and she looked gorgeous like always. I couldn't believe how beautiful she looked.
She was a dream come true and I was living in a fairytale.
It was an emotional moment when we were standing in front of each other with everyone around us. I felt like crying but I held it together as Dylan was smiling across from me.
When we read our vows, I couldn't keep it in as I cried while reading mine. I wrote it the night before cause I was nervous and couldn't sleep with all the thoughts running through my head.
