Sleep Deprived by Vaboh^

Spending quality time with my big brother is always a blessing and curse. I love him to death but he's the most annoying dude I have ever known and he's supposed to be an adult.

When Caleb drives anywhere, it's pretty nerve-wrecking. I wouldn't say his driving is terrible but I've been better.

He drives like he's being chased or he's trying to race someone.

We couldn't decide on where to eat out at. It was Friday night, so we can stay out as long as we wanted to.

But we had to pick a place that would allow us to stay at their restuarant or whatever for a few hours, cause we both agreed that going home early isn't an option.

It was only around five, so it wasn't too late.

"Pizza hut?" Caleb asks before we both made a face. "The Cafe?" I shook my head as I look out the window. It was such a pretty night, even though it wasn't completely dark outside but the sun was setting and the sky was amazing.

"Subway?" He asks.

I thought for a moment before leaning into the seat a little more, trying to think of somewhere to go.

This town isn't what I expected it to be.

"There's a restuarant in town?" He asks. "Heard it was pretty good. We never been there."

I nod as I look over at him. "Grab it and go. Let's go eat at the lake."

"Yeah," He smiles. "that sounds like fun."

We decided on that, so Caleb drove to this restuarant in town where we've never been. We wanted to take food to go so we can go by the lake and chill, eat our food and be away from people.

After we found a parking spot outside of the restuarant, we both got out and walked towards the door. I look up at the sign as it was illuminating before Caleb opens the door for me.

Stepping inside was pretty intense. There were a lot of people here, which clearly indicated that their food and service is good and the aroma that you smell right when you walk in was something to die for.

"Ok, why haven't we ever been here?" Caleb asks.

I shrug as I look around at everyone, who was sitting at the tables and enjoying their evening.

"Maybe because mom doesn't like coming out and spending money."

He chuckle as a waiter came to us and asked if we wanted a table. Caleb told him no and said that we wanted to take some food to go, which thankfully they did that.

We walked to the counter and the guy handed us some menus. He told us the special for tonight and everything else, along with some really good deals.

Everything looked good.

Caleb and I talked about everything we wanted on the menu, then when we were ready to order, he told the dude what we wanted and it was going to be about fifteen minutes until it was ready.

We took a seat somewhere away from everyone else. It was in a booth that was in the corner, so there weren't many people around us when we sat down.

Looking around the restuarant, I look over at my brother as he was on his phone. I watched as he was scrolling through something until his eyes landed on mine.

"We're gonna get fat after this." He smiles. "So, you wanna go to the lake and chill?"

I nod. "I think that's better than staying here or going back home."
