Are y'all ready?
"Take the trash out, Caleb!"
Hearing my mom yell at my brother made me laugh. I was sitting on the couch, killing at Call of Duty, while eating a bag of hot cheetos and an energy drink on my side.
No better way to waste a Saturday.
My brother came down the stairs before walking into the living room, I nod towards him before focusing back on my game, killing every person I saw and smiling in victory.
"Hey mom!" Caleb yells. "I think Addy wants to take the trash out!" He crossed his arms while smirking at me.
I paused my game when I heard mom yell for me to take the trash out. I glared at Caleb as I got up and rushed to him, making him run out of the living room and away from me.
Turning down our hall, I saw him stumble a little as his feet slipped on the hardwood flooring. I smiled as I chased him into the kitchen where mom was standing at the sink.
"No horseplaying in the house!" She shouted.
My brother was on the other side of the island as I was across from him. I knew that whichever way he went, I would try my damn hardest to knock him down.
My coordination skills are at its peak. All I have to do is watch which way he goes, then be a little bit faster than him to take him down.
"What did I say?" Mom says as she grabs a spatula and threatens to beat us with it. "Take the trash out!"
Caleb ran from the island as I quickly grabbed the trash bag that was sitting on the floor, then chased after him out the kitchen.
He ran towards the front door before swinging it open and I took one good shot and threw the trash bag as hard as I could towards him.
It missed.
And now there were trash all over the yard.
Caleb started laughing, which I didn't find it funny. "What did you expect would happen?" He points at the trash all over the yard. "Get to cleaning."
"Oh shut up. Like you were going to do it anyways."
"I'm not the one wasting a Saturday by eating junk." He makes a face and I roll my eyes before picking up the trash.
"Who's moving in next door?"
I continue to pick up the trash, ignoring the words that comes out of his mouth. "Don't know. Don't care." I stood up to look at him watching next door. "Are you going to help?"
He waves his hand at me while still looking over in the other yard. "Shut up, I wanna see who's moving in. Hopefully it's a teenage girl."
I made the most disgusted face ever. "Caleb, you're twenty four asshole!" I threw trash at him and watched as he moved out of the way. "That's disgusting!"
"I meant eighteen!" He yells. "Legal!"
I roll my eyes as I continue to pick up the trash. I'm glad there wasn't any food in that bag, cause I wouldn't even touch this shit. I would probably just leave it outside where the birds can eat it.
After I threw the last bit away and the ripped bag, I walk over towards Caleb as he was staring at the house next door. I stopped next to him and saw a moving truck, followed by a lot of men carrying things inside.
I didn't even see a car or truck parked into the driveway, so the new owners probably hasn't arrived yet.
"So, this is what you do on a daily basis." I nod as he looks over at me. Looking at him, I gave him a smile. "Stalk every known neighbor and woman, who walks up and down our road."
