For the last few days, I felt different in so many ways. I couldn't expain this feeling in my chest that I was having, but I couldn't figure out what was the reason.
Dylan and I haven't talked in a few days, ever since that night she told me she liked me. I've been seeing Colton's truck over there, but not really sure what to think of it.
I shouldn't really care cause nothing could ever happen between us, I know that for fact.
There's a lot of No Crossing tape over the whole situation and I know that this was just some feelings I had towards her that'll be gone at the end of the day.
Hopefully.
I tried not letting all the thoughts get to me. I mean, mom has been with me the last two days so I didn't see Dylan at all, not even at school.
She was avoiding me, for whatever reason and I wasn't going to take it so hard cause I knew that there wasn't anything to come after what we said to each other.
As I was standing in the middle of my room, staring at the wall for the last ten minutes, I heard someone clear their throat then saw Caleb standing in my doorway with his arms crossed.
"What's up?" He smiles. "What happened to your head?"
By now, the bruise was fading away but it was still there. It didn't hurt anymore, but it left a nasty yellowish color to my forehead.
"I got hit with a softball. Where have you been?"
He shrugs then smiles. "At a friends."
I watched him for a moment before mimicking his movement and crossing my arms as well. "Oh yeah? Is that friend Katie?"
The way he looked away from me told me that I was right. He walked away, but I surely followed him down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Come on, dude. You can tell me. You've been with her haven't you? What's going on with y'all?"
"There's nothing going on." He said as he opened the fridge. "I have not been with her."
I shook my head as I watched him take a sip of water. "Why haven't you called or anything?"
He looks at me then gives me a weird look. "Who are you, mom?" He chuckles then shakes his head. "What I do isn't your business."
"Caleb, please tell me. I won't tell mom."
"You can tell mom whatever you want. I don't care what she knows. I'm twenty four." He looks at me as I was staring at him, trying to get him to tell me everything. "Shut up."
I opened my mouth and stared at him. "I didn't say anything." I continued to watch him as I crossed my arms and took a step towards him. "You were with Katie."
"Was not."
"Yes, you were." I walked closer to him. "Tell me." He shook his head. "Caleb Dewayne Torres, tell me right now." Again, he shook his head. "I want to know."
"Why?" He laughs. "Why do you want to know?"
"Because."
He gives me a look. "Because why?"
Stepping closer to him, I hit him in the chest then watched him take a step back and stared at me. "I'm your sister and it's my duty to know your business."
He continued to stare at me then placed his hand over his chest. "Did you just touch me?"
Looking at him, I looked down at his chest before realizing what I just did. I look back up at him, but before I could say anything, I heard a knock on the door.
