I apologize for not updating! Things have been hectic but I'm back. This book is completely finished as of right now. I already wrote the whole book within the days of not updating.

Enjoy!

Mom had us carry things over to Dylan's tonight. I was holding a glass pan full of brownies and Caleb had some type of souffle that mom just whipped up out of nowhere.

"Let's be nice." Mom says as we were standing in front of her door.

Caleb and I exchanged looks. "Uh, we already met her?"

I chuckle as mom looks back at us before the door opened. I saw Dylan standing there, smiling at us and her eyes landed on me. I couldn't help feel the heat rush to my face and cursed myself afterwards.

After we walked in, we followed Dylan into the kitchen where everything was already prepared. It smelt so amazing and looked all delicious.

"Dylan, this looks wonderful."

Caleb rolled his eyes as he was still holding the souffle. I saw him shaking his head, wanting to leave but I was glad he was here with us.

Dylan complimented the desserts we brought and mom was smiling the whole time, patting herself on the back for making everything.

After we placed all the items down on the counter, mom was quick to help Dylan set up the table. I saw Caleb pull out his phone and started texting someone.

"Is that your girlfriend?" I whispered to him.

He looks at me then shakes his head. "Katie and I are friends. We're just chilling."

"Mhm." I cross my arms as I look towards the table as mom and Dylan were talking. "When are you planning on telling mom?"

Caleb sighs. "I don't know yet. Whenever Katie and I decide on what we are."

I nod as that was understandable. "You know, I bet mom is dying to have grandkids."

"Shut the hell up." He looks at me. I couldn't help but laugh. "You're worse than mom."

"Caleb? Addy? Come help."

We walk over to the table and help them set it up. I heard mom and Dylan having a conversation, but didn't pay no attention to it as I was looking at the table after everything was placed and set.

Caleb sat down at the table already as mom helped Dylan place the food down. I stood behind a chair as I watched them, waiting to sit down unlike my brother who was already sitting down.

After a few moments, Tanner walks in and I couldn't help but smile. I saw him look over at us and seen me before giving me a small smile, walking towards the table.

"Tanner, sweetie." Dylan smiles. "You can sit next to Caleb."

Caleb said his hello as Tanner sat next to him. I sat at the end of the table, in view of everything and everyone.

"This is a lovely dinner, Dylan." Mom smiles.

Caleb looks at me and rolls his eyes. I smiled at him as we all started plating, grabbing different foods that were laid out on the table in front of us.

It looked all good and when I took a bite, it was more delicious than it looked.

As we were all eating, mom and Dylan were making small talk while I was minding my own business, trying to tune into their conversation but Caleb kept distracting me.
