"Ok just don't talk. Don't talk at all." Stefanie hisses, holding her cousin's hand and making sure she doesn't fall over.
This was a disaster it was a complete and utter disaster for they were more than four hours late and Stefanie knew they were going to get ripped to shreds by all three women.
"You got her?" AJ asks concerned as they near the home. He didn't realize just how much Callie had drunk until it was too late. In fact neither he or Stefanie did, and he was worried that he had made the wrong first impression.
"Yes. Now go. Because if her Mama sees you, you're toast." Stefanie warns as AJ just stares at her. "Believe me, you do not want that."
"Okay. Tell her I'll call her." He shoves his hands in his pockets for the piece of paper he had scribbled down her phone number.
"Noooo I'll callll you. Youuuu Ayyyyyy Jayyyyy." Callie can only giggle as her cousin grabs her hand and they slowly walk to the front of the home.
How they were gonna get past Stef, Stefanie had no clue whatsoever for it was way past midnight as they had lost all track of time and space. How she had let this happen, she had no clue, but she would protect Callie at all costs as it was now just as much her fault if not more even though she hadn't drank a drop except for water. There was no way in hell she would ever go down that path again and she could kick herself for not keeping a better eye on Callie.
"Stefffy, you're soo cool. But the sky is spinning. Isn't it? I don't think I feel so well," Callie stumbles as Stefanie tries her best to steady her. This was not good by any means, and in fact it was horrible.
"No. Now hush unless you wanna be dead meat. Ok? Take this." Handing Callie a breath mint, the girl takes it and starts laughing hysterically.
"This is grossss. I hate these things. Oh my god!!!!!" Callie quickly chews it and swallows it before placing her finger on Stefanie's lips. "SHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! STOP TALKING!" She bellows as Stefanie's eyes grow wide.
"Oh my god, Callie!" She yanks on the girl's hand. "SHHHHH!!!!! Now let me do all the talking. Come."
Nodding her head at her cousin and completely drunk, Callie follows close behind as Stefanie slowly opens the door bracing for her godmom. She could almost feel the wooden spoon on her behind now as her heart is beating wildly in her chest. Never had she been so panicked in her life if she was honest and it wasn't even her own mother she was terrified of or Aunt Lena. Them she could handle for they were much softer and more understanding.
"Girls, is that you?" They hear Lena ask in a very annoyed tone as Stefanie freezes. This was all her fault she realizes for she should never have let Callie drink from the thermos but she was insistent. Why this sudden new rebellion on Callies part Stefanie wasn't sure. But she felt awful and took full responsibility.
"Yes, Aunt Lena. We are feeling pretty fried." Stefanie yells as Callie giggles and the girl puts her hand over Callie's mouth.
"Come here for a second, please." Her tone more authoritative.
"We lost track of time. We are really sorry! I can explain, but can we talk in the morning?" Stefanie squeaks out, waiting to hear Stef's voice any moment. How could her aunt be so calm? Was she in there?
"We made brownies!" They hear Tess say, and Callie squeals loudly.
"BROWNIES!!!!!!!!"
"Shhhhhh!!" Stefanie whispers putting her hand over the girl's mouth once again as she now hears the women walk into the back eyeballing them. But Stef was nowhere in sight at all.
