LENA POV

I smile as I look in the mirror of my vanity. Tonight the kids had all gone to Jerry and Tess' as per Tess' insistence, that Stef and I needed time alone to connect. I agree that we did and the last time we really connected was probably during our honeymoon which was months ago. That was before things started to take a turn for the worse with the kids and before everything became a little hectic.

As always I was glad to connect with her, make intense love to her and just talk with not a care in the world. Sometimes I still missed those days at the base when we were so young and free even if in reality it had been a very hard time in our lives. Both our husbands were at war, and Stef and I were having a full blown affair mixed with new feelings neither of us understood.

I never fully realized how much I still struggled with the guilt of that affair and after talking with Tess I was feeling a tad better, even lighter. I can also tell that I'm not as irritable as I felt I was becoming. Tess had a way of putting things into perspective, she always had, and regaining our footing in our friendship that we had started all those years ago has been nothing but good for the both of us.

"Hey, honey! I'm home!" I hear my wife's voice as she comes home from work.

Of course, I hadn't told her a thing, for I wasn't even sure if she would pick up overtime, but I had sort of let Mike in on it, begging him to please make sure that she doesn't. He had laughed and said he would try, and true to his word, he must have.

"Where is everybody, love? Smells good whatever it is you're cooking."

I turn and smile as I see her walk into the room, unbuttoning her uniform as she heads to the closet to lock her gun away. "They are all at Tess and Jerry's for the night. I thought it could just be me and you tonight, a little bit of wine, music, and some other stuff." I stand and close my jewelry box before snapping on the emerald bracelet Stef had bought me for my birthday a few months ago.

"Well, don't you look sexy! Hot damn!" Stef smiles and winks as she turns to fully look at me. I have on an emerald, silk cap sleeve blouse with a plunging v neckline, a black skirt with the blouse tucked in and a smart, black patent leather belt. Even though I dress up every single day for my job, it had been a while that I've dressed like this for my wife or anyone for that matter.

I blush softly as I tie a matching silk green ribbon through my curls, having swooped them all to the side and giggle softly as Stef looks at me intensely all the while she strips in front of me. "But I need to shower and dress up for you, too, my love. So stop drooling over there," she laughs as she steps out of her panties and walks, fully naked to the bathroom.

She knows exactly what she is doing as we really haven't connected in some time like this. My insides are like molten lava at this point, and I quickly get a hold of myself as I spritz on some Poison perfume before heading to check on the small roast I had placed in the oven earlier.

How special could we make this night? I was hoping very special for I wanted to feel my wife all night if I could.

STEF POV

"I think you are the best cook a girl could ever ask for, my sweet love," I smile softly as Lena and I had just finished dinner. She blushes as she gets up. "Did I just scare you off?"

"Ha! No, I don't scare that easily these days. I actually have a surprise for you."

I watch as she pulls out a small tray from the fridge and brings it to the table with one spoon. "I didn't know you baked, too," I wink at her as she laughs. "I mean you haven't in ages."
