With everyone getting adjusted to their lives in San Diego, along with Tess and Jerry who were now settled into their five bedroom home, the kids were still under Stef's bootcamp. Big time and the tension in the home as a result of it was still very present.

The kids had hoped she would lighten up but with them being snappy nothing had changed, and Lena was now not playing either.  She had given Stef a break and taken the kids running the past few weeks something the kids were initially excited about. But when they realized Lena was just as bad as Stef they groaned and hated it just as much.

Lena was intent on not making her wife the bad guy and wanted these kids to see that neither of them were playing around. At all and as it was there was no sign of their doors being put back on anytime soon.

But  being the kids they were and the teenagers they were, Callie had managed to still keep AJ a secret by hanging with him at lunch time and going to the library to meet him then heading to the beach to hang. This was something they had been doing the past few weeks, ever since they met at the beach party and her and AJ had really gotten closer.

It wasn't that she was a bad kid for Callie certainly wasn't  but being that she was 16 she would be lying if her hormones didn't get the best of her. And they were starting to, big time but the two teens had only gone so far as kissing and nothing more yet. Did she want more? She wasn't sure just yet.

"I'm really glad you are my girlfriend Callie. I mean I'm glad we get to at least hang here at the beach."

"Me too." She says looking out onto the ocean as AJ continues to stare at her profile smiling.

"So is your Mom really that strict? I can come over and introduce myself. I'm not scared." He says as Callie looks at him halfway smiling.

"You don't wanna do that. Believe me. My Mom, Lena, she won't mind. But Mama, I don't know."

"She can't be any worse them my grandma who used to chase me around the house with a bat because I was bad." The boy laughs as Callie looks at him busting out laughing.

"Seriously? She did?"

"Oh yeah all the time. I just couldn't act right."

"Well you seem to act right now." The girl flirts as she moves to grab his hand and the boy blushes. The two can only kiss once more like they always did as the warm sun started to set.

Of course Callie wasn't the only one with secrets for Frankie had one as well. Since starting school the young girl was trying so hard to keep her feelings at bay. Big time for she had a major crush on her science partner and she just didn't know how to handle it. She really didn't for they were now friends, and that actually made things ever harder.

Frankie wished she could tell the girl how she felt about her, but that was out of the question. It really was and with her and her siblings not really talking to Stef much anymore right now or Lena she had no one to tell. That only made things harder and to top it off she and Renee had to work on a project together at home and Frankie had no idea how she was going to handle that. No idea at all.

"Do you want soda? We have soda, and ummm, iced tea and water. No water is boring probably not right?" Frankie asks Renee as the two are at the kitchen table working on their volcano.  Frankie was trying so hard to make her friend comfortable but not try too hard at the same time.

"Soda is cool. Thanks, Franks." Renee smiles as she gets the things out for the project and Frankie tries her hardest to remain cool but right about now the air is sucked out of her lungs and her palms are sweaty. Big time.
