Life at Grimmauld Place

There were order meetings once or twice a week. I told the twins the basics, but I never went into detail no matter how hard they persisted. I couldn't risk getting kicked out of the order.

"Maaaaaaags" George whined.

"Geeeeeeeeeoooooorrrrrggggggeeeeeee" I whined back.

"Freeeeeeeeeeddddd" Fred chimed in, causing George and I to look at him strangle.y

"Did you just-did you just say your own name?" Fred shrugged.

"I was feeling left out. The same way I feel when you don't tell us about the Order."

"I told you there's some weapon that he wants! That's all I can say. I don't want to lose my spot in the Order."

"Oh please they won't even find out if you tell us." I gave him a pointed look.

"I don't think you two are as sly as you think you are"

"Now wait a minute" George piped up. "You're talking to two people who have managed to successfully evade every teacher at Hogwarts while setting pranks. Our success rate is actually very high."

"Your success rate, IQ, and the room temperature are all the same number." I walked out of the room, waiting for them to realize that the room temperature was a solid 22 degrees Celsius. I made it to my room before I heard the yells upstairs that signaled they finally figured it out. A crack alerted me to their presence in my room.

"Now that was just plain rude" Fred huffed.

"We're quite brilliant"

"Sure you are Georgie. Now if you excuse me I have to go to a big kid meeting." I walked downstairs to the living room, where Order meetings were held.

We learned that Voldemort was trying to get a 'weapon'. Apparently that 'weapon' is a prophecy. I don't know how that's considered a weapon because it can't really do any damage. I tried to sign up to guard it, but nobody let me. I hadn't heard from anyone about my mom either. I was getting increasingly frustrated with the lack of information surrounding these meetings.

I got a lot closer to Ginny during this time. I never grew close to Hermione. I think my trouble-making ways are too much for her. She hated that I supported the twin's joke shop idea and that I assisted them with making the products. She thought I should force them to focus more on their studies. I knew it would never work. Ginny, however, was hilarious. We talked about quidditch a lot. She said she wanted to tryout this year if there's any space on the team. She reminds me a little of the twins, but is her own unique person. I taught her a lot. By the end of the summer, we had definitely become like sisters.

I also grew much closer to Tonks during this time. She was a few years older than I am, but she's really funny. She's a metamorphogus so she can change her look whenever she wants. We talk a lot about school and being an Auror. She has a lot of stories to tell.

We spend our days cleaning the house. It's horrible. The twins and I usually pair up. Since we can use magic and the others can't, they argue against our pairing a lot since we get it done way faster than everyone else. But once we are done we go upstairs to the twins' room to brainstorm some more ideas. Harry had given them his tournament winnings, so they had plenty of money for the joke shop now. I am so happy for them.

At night, we play games. I taught them charades, never have I ever, and truth or dare. The twins knew about these because I had taught them at a party one time, but the younger kids didn't know. Except for Hermione, who is a muggleborn.

George volunteered to go first. He chose truth, which was a little surprising. Fred started out pretty basic asking George, "Do you fancy anyone in this room."

George blushed a little before replying, "yes." He didn't meet anyone's eyes. But I knew it was me. It was either Hermione or myself, and I knew he liked me back before our fight. I didn't know if he still felt that way though, after everything we had been through.

Ginny went next and got dared to wake up Sirius' mother's portrait. That caused an uprising in the house from the adults. Then it was Hermione's turn and she had to reveal who she thought the hottest quidditch player was. She chose Viktor Krum, who she had dated last year. Ron looked a little peeved at that. It was obvious they like each other, but both are too stubborn to admit it. Ron was jealous, so he went after her and was forced to eat a ton-tongue toffee and remain that way until his next turn, which earned us a glare from Hermione. Then it was my turn. I chose dare like always because it's more fun to me.

"I dare you to go straddle George until your next turn is over" Ginny said. This girl is only in her fourth year. I knew George's feelings for me. I think she did too. I could guess enough to understand Ginny's plan. She's so out there. I love it. But the thing is, I'm still repairing my relationship with George. And I don't know if I could ever like him romantically.

I walked over to George and straddled his waist. I looked him dead in the eye as I did it, which caused him to blush and turn away. I liked making him uncomfortable. I looked over at Fred when it was his turn. Fred gave me a wink, which caused me to laugh. After Fred, it was George's turn again. I had my head resting on his shoulder so I didn't have to keep sitting up. His hands were around my waist, holding me on his lap.

"George, truth or dare" Fred said with a smirk on his face. Oh boy.

"Truth"

"Do you like having Mags sit on your lap like that?" Fred cocked his head to the side. I sat up and looked at George with an expectant expression.

George couldn't meet my eyes as he nodded. I saw Ginny and Fred start making kissy faces at each other and I rolled my eyes at them. We went around, and when it was my turn I chose dare again.

"I dare you to kiss George" Ginny piped up.

"Wow how original Ginny. I wonder how you came up with that one."

George wasn't looking at me so I cupped his face in my hands and forced him to look at me. His eyes showed that he was scared and embarrassed, but I could also see some lust in them. He had really pretty chocolate brown eyes. I smashed my lips into his, and he wasted no time in returning the kiss. After a few seconds, we broke apart and I turned to Ginny and asked her if she was satisfied.

"Oh, I don't think it's me that you should be asking that question" Ginny said with a laugh.

I rolled my eyes and got off of George's lap since that part of the dare was over. It was weird. I realized that I missed having him right next to, well under, me, and my lips felt bare after our kiss. As the game went on, I caught myself looking more at George trying to figure out why I felt this way. And many times I caught George looking at me.
