There were a lot of preparations to do for the wedding. I was solely in charge of Fleur and all the bridesmaids. I was to make sure that everyone was on schedule.
"Fleur, I'll do your hair once I give this potion to Harry. How do you want it?"
"Just curled will work-I 'ave to wear the tiara from Mrs. Weasley." She said.
I ran downstairs to try to find Harry.
"Harry! Here's the polyjuice potion. Don't take it yet-wait until right before the wedding to make sure it doesn't wear off." And with that I rushed back upstairs to do Fleur's hair while her mom did her make-up. Then, we both helped her into her dress and started on the bridesmaid. Mrs. Delacour was in charge of her youngest daughter, Gabrielle, while I helped Ginny.
"I can't believe he's actually marrying her." Ginny said once she made sure the Delacours were out of earshot.
"Ginny, it's her wedding day. I will personally lock you in the attic if you are mean to her today. It's happening whether or not you like Fleur. Bill loves her, and you love Bill, so you might want to try to get to know her." I said fed up with the Weasley's hatred of Fleur.
"But she's so condescending! She talks to me like I'm a little kid."
"I'll admit that's annoying, but you have to deal with it. Now plaster on a nice smile and pretend like this is a happy day because it is." I said, walking away to do my own hair and make-up.
Once I was done, I had to round up everyone for the ceremony. I made sure all the guests were seated before gathering Bill and the best man in one room and Fleur and her bridesmaids in another.
"Alright, everyone's in their right places. Fleur, you look absolutely ravishing. I'm going to go take my seat now, but I just wanted to let you know how perfect you look and how hopelessly in love with you Bill is." I kissed her on the cheek and made my way to my seat so the ceremony can start.
"You've been a busy bee. I haven't seen you all day!" George said.
"It's been exhausting keeping everyone on time. And I was doing half the work of your mom. When we get married, I want you to promise that it won't be this elaborate." I said.
"When we get married? You want to marry me?" He asked. Oh shit. I didn't even realize what I had said.
"Well, not now. We're still too young, but I think one day, yes. I would love to marry you George Weasley." A smile grew on his face with my confession.
"And I would love to marry you future Mrs. Weasley." He kissed me.
"Don't call me that-it makes me sound so old." I complained. He just laughed and grabbed my hand.
It was a a beautiful ceremony. Everyone looked so good and you could tell just sitting there how much Fleur and Bill loved each other. I think the Weasleys missed that a lot. They don't understand the connection between Bill and Fleur. But what's even better than the ceremony, is the reception.
This was reception was infinitely better than Tonks and Remus's. Their's was super sweet, but this one was a blast. Everyone was dancing and there were drinks all around. I barely sat down the whole time. During a slow dance, I was dancing with George when Bill came over.
"Can I cut in?" He asked George.
"Sure, but make it quick."
"Wait George. Bill, can you take a picture of us?" I transfigured my bracelet back into a camera. Bill took a picture then George left to find Fred.
"I know I've said this a thousand times, but thanks for all your help today. And for the past few weeks in getting this wedding together. Fleur looked beautiful tonight, she always does, but she wanted me to thank you. And I wanted to let you know that you made this transition into this family much easier for her. My mom and Ginny are the only girls and they were quite hostile to her. But you welcomed her, and I know you don't like to think of yourself as a Weasley, but you are. And I think you'll officially be one sooner than you think. You and George might be next." Bill said as we danced together.
I looked over at George who was laughing over something with Fred. "What makes you say that?"
"It's obvious how much you two care for each other. I've never seen him more upset than when you were hospitalized. He never left your side until he had to be removed from your room by force. And he talks nonstop about how amazing you are. He always has since he met you. You're lucky to have each other."
"Thanks, Bill." The song ended and Bill went to find his wife. I was starting to make my way towards the twins when something interrupted me.
A patronus appeared in the middle of the dance floor. I couldn't recognize it until I heard the voice-Kingsley Shacklebolt. "The ministry has fallen. Scrimegeour is dead. They're coming."
Panic shot through me. Voldemort made his move. The minister of magic is dead, and they're coming here for Harry no doubt. How did they even know this was happening? I didn't have time to think through because the next thing I know I was shooting spells at death eaters. It was absolute chaos. People were disapparating everywhere or running around. Spells were being fired with no precision at all.
Eventually, I started duelling with one. Most people were gone by now, but I could see all the order members still fighting. More death eaters joined the fight between me and death eater number 1. That's when I heard something horrifying:
"Potter's gone. if that's her, we need to take her back to headquarters. Do not let her escape this time." By now it was three on one and I was barely holding on. I saw three more death eaters coming to grab me, so I did the only thing I could. I felt bad for running away, but I twisted away as three different stunning spells hit me at once.
I guess no one calculated that Voldemort wanted me almost as much as he wanted Harry. I wasn't disguised at all. I didn't even know where I apparated to. I was in so much pain from the stunning spells. I could't move. I remembered McGonagall getting hit with four of them last year. And she's much older than I am. My last thought before I blacked out from the pain-I must have splinched-was how much of a queen McGonagall was for surviving that.
