Thank you to everyone who has read this! I get so happy to see that people are enjoying my writing. I'm working on a new book entitled "The Second Moony" that follows Luna Lupin throughout her seven years at Hogwarts. It's also a Sirius Black love story because I'm obsessed. It's a little slow with the updates because school is killing me, but I usually get one chapter a week and with the upcoming winter break should be able to release a lot more. The first few are already up!

Here's the description/summary:

What's the moon without the stars? They complement each other perfectly. The sun itself is responsible for the glow of the moon. Luna Lupin has always been a fan of the night sky ever since her twin brother became a werewolf and she started learning the phases of the moon. As she goes to Hogwarts, she becomes fascinated with her Astronomy class and meets another celestially-named kid: Sirius Black. It's rough in the beginning, but soon Sirius and Luna realize that neither of them shine as brightly without the other to back them up.

Here's a few excerpts from the first couple of chapters:

Marlene and Luna linked eyes. Food. They immediately started rushing to get ready. Unfortunately, neither of them were blessed with navigational skills. And despite their rushed pace, they were too late to catch Lily and Alice as they left. That's how they found themselves completely lost in the massive castle.

"I think we go down this staircase." Marlene said.

"Yeah. That portrait looks familiar. I think." Honestly, most of them looked the same. Here's one super old person dressed like royalty, here's another super old person dressed like royalty, blah blah blah. Luna never appreciated the arts. They started walking down the staircase when it started to move, changing their destination in the process.

"No! No! No! No!" Marlene cried.

"Whyyyyyy is this happening to me! Why! This is a magic castle! Stop! Abra Cadabra! Open Sesame!" Luna added. They both stopped in the middle of the staircase, completely bewildered by the events unfolding around them. Luna was kicking the banisters in an attempt to get the stairs to move back in the right direction. Marlene was burying her face in her hands in defeat. It didn't take long to break that girl.

"All I want is foooooood" Marlene moaned. "Curse my stomach." She sat down.

"Is there a pressure plate? Why does this happen? HOW DOES THIS WORK" Luna cried.

"You see there's this thing called 'magic' I know it can be a bit difficult for some people to understand, but-" The two girls whipped their heads around to find the first year Gryffindor boys. The voice belonged to Sirius.

Alice turned out to be incredibly gifted at Herbology. This was a great benefit to Luna who wanted to cry. Watering plants was just so...boring. It was the worst. Alice seemed perfectly content, however. She just sat there, humming to the music in her head. Luna was jealous that her friend could enjoy such a mundane activity. And somehow be good at it. Even Professor Sprout commented on it.

"Alice! If I didn't know better I would think you belonged in Hufflepuff. My house you know" She winked. "Luna, dear, you're watering the plant wrong. Try to copy Alice while I go check on the others. I'll be back in a few minutes if you need more instructions."

Luna turned to Alice. "How can I be watering a plant wrong? It's WATER! It can't go anywhere else!" Alice chuckled at her friend's confusion.

"Here, like this" Alice adjusted Luna's hand on the watering can and gently guided it so that Luna was watering around the base of the plant and not the plant itself. "This way it will absorb more water and less will be wasted!"

When Professor Sprout came back around, she said, "Great work Luna! Nice improvement." Luna immediately placed the watering can back down and threw up her hands.

"you're watering the plants wrong, Luna. Do it like Alice. Oh great job Luna!" She muttered under her breathe. She did not enjoy this class at all. She let her friends know when she left.
