*AN: I wanted to write a few more scenes that are in no way significant to the plot just for fun. If you have a request for an additional scene featuring Margaret, just make sure you include who you want it to be with and what you want to scene to be about. You could also just request a certain character, but then I get to do whatever I want with the plot and it might not be what you were envisioning*

Setting: a lunch meeting between Margaret and McGonagall in her 7th year

"Hello Minnie, How are you?" I asked McGonagall. I had convinced her to let me call her that at the beginning of this year as long as I still called her Professor McGonagall when people were around.

"Hello Margaret. I'm well, how are you?" Minnie asked me.

"Except for the she-demon, I'm fantastic." I plopped down into my usual seat across from Minnie. "But I don't want to talk about what she did wrong again. Nor do I want to talk about my classes. And since I'm not feeling very depressed at the moment-and yes I realize that does not mean I no longer have depression Minerva and yes I am still taking my medicine-let's talk about something new. Any good gossip from the teachers?"

"Gossip is hardly anything new Margaret." Minnie gave me a look.

"yes, but you actually telling me the teacher's tea would be new. I like to shake things up."

"Well I'm afraid there's nothing to say."

"Unbelievable. Minnie you're killing me. I refuse to believe the teachers have no drama or gossip! what do you talk about when you get together! I spill the tea on the students every week and you give me nothing. Nothing! It's an outrage. And I still haven't forgotten that you neither agreed nor denied the presence of an anti-Umbridge club amongst the teachers. I will find out more. I've almost cracked Flitwick. And I'm giving you the advantage because I decided not to exploit Hagrid's weakness."

"You do not get bonus points because you refuse to bully a teacher into giving you information, Margaret. And there is no anti-Umbridge club." Minnie stated, causing me to roll my eyes. "Not officially, anyways." She added with a smirk.

"Minerva you sly dog. Tell."

"Well as I said it's not a club. Sometimes the teachers get together when we know she can't hear us and talk about our...disdain for some of her policies and educational decrees."

"Just admit you don't like her. No one does, it's okay."

"Fine. I do not like her. I guess I don't do a very good job of hiding it." I thought to all the glares I'd seen Minnie shoot at Umbridge. She was not good at hiding it at all.

"OK. Well I already know your opinion of Umbridge. What about all the other teachers here? I'll give you my opinion."

"I am not participating in this Margaret. It is unprofessional."

"I won't tell a soul. Please. Pretty please with a cherry on top? Pwetty pwease?" I begged, making my eyes as big as I possibly could.

"The physical appearance of the please makes no difference to me." I sent her the saddest look I could possibly muster. She sighed. "Fine. You can try, but I will not reveal anything." Minnie said, finally caving to my begging.

"Okay, first question cause I'm curious. Who's like your teacher BFF here? AND if you say Albus Dumbledore I will jump out this window Minerva I swear I will." I know the headmaster and McGonagall are pretty close, but she had to have an actual friend in this godforsaken castle. I don't know how anyone could stand it without a friend by their side. Then again Umbridge and Snape are still here. So is Filch, though he has Mrs. Norris. And Madame Pince. Maybe they're their own little clique. Like in school when all the outcasts get put together, but in this case all the outcasts are the worst, most miserable people on the planet.

"I would say Madame Pomfrey or Professor Sprout. I'm also on close terms with Flitwick one could say." She actually gave me an answer! I'm shocked!

I regained my cool. "Ok so you like them. What about Severus?"

"Professor Snape Margaret."

"fiiiine. Professor Snape. Opinion?" She sat there and contemplated.

"It's mostly a professional relationship. He's not very chatty. Never was. I remember when I taught him-"

"THAT'S RIGHT! You taught him! Oh please tell me some stories of when he was a student. I have independent potions later and there is nothing that would bring me more joy than hearing an embarrassing story about Snape."

"I will not grant that request Margaret no matter how much you ask me." I could tell she meant that.

"On my birthday? That would be the best birthday present I have ever gotten."

"Possibly." I was now counting down the days until my birthday.

"Can I get that in writing?" She just glared at me. "Fine, but I will hold you to your word. Now, how about...Madame Pince?"

"I respect her, though she is a bit strict."

"You're joking." Minnie thought Pince was strict but not her? I love her, and she's not as much as a...excuse my language but bitch as Pince. But she is stern.

"What?" I just rolled my eyes.

"Continue on."

"As I was saying, knowing the students around these parts they would destroy the library if she wasn't careful. But she could loosen up."

"I was not expecting that! Tea" It was now McGonagall's turn to give me a confused look. Guess she still hasn't gotten the concept of slang.

"Weren't you also going to give me your opinions, Margaret?"

"At this point I'm pretty sure you've heard all my complaints Minerva, but I shall give them to you. I guess we'll start with Madame Pomfrey. Love her. But I'll admit, if she were in my year I'm not sure we would be friends. I think acquaintances . Like those people that you'd love to pair up with in class because you know you work well together but you never really hang out outside of class. Professor Sprout is next. She's very sweet. If she were in my year, I'd say hi to her in the hallway, but I'd never hang out with her otherwise. I'm too wild for her I think. But she is very sweet and passionate about plants, which I'll never understand. And a large improvement over my old Herbology teacher. Next is Professor Flitwick. He's an excellent teacher. If he were in my year, I'd probably just ignore him. I think he'd be one of those hard working students. But he did say he was a good dueller. So we might bond over that and duel each other in the courtyard. I never really think a lot about Flitwick. Something to ponder."

"Professor Snape is a git. He holds too many grudges for some unknown reason and has bias. But he's very good at potions so I respect him for that. But I don't like him. Our relationship is more like 'I tolerate you' 'I as well'. That might actually be dialogue from a conversation we had at one time. If I knew him when he were my age, we would not be friends. I'd probably spend time talking about him behind his back and getting into arguments with him like I do Malfoy. Don't look at me like that Minerva you know I'm not a good person. There's a reason I'm not in Hufflepuff and it's because I'm much too mean and sarcastic to be in that house."

"You are very nice when you want to be Margaret. I've never seen you be mean to someone who didn't deserve it. You are just very vocal about your opinions of people when you dislike them, which outshines your kind side."

"ok fine. I'm nice. But when I don't like someone I let them know. And many people consider that to be 'mean' and 'slightly intimidating'. But moving on. Madame Pince. Hate her. She's so rude. Of course, she hates me too. But that's mostly the Weasley twin's faults. When I'm in the library alone, I get my work done very respectfully. Most times. But when I'm with them, I cause chaos."

"And how often are you in there with them versus by yourself?"

"More often than not. But that's not the point." I replied.

"Speaking of the Weasleys, how it is going with George?" Minnie asked, sipping her tea.

"Now look whose into gossip. I'll tell. It's going well. He makes me laugh. We have a lot of fun together."

"I'm glad to hear it. Now as much as I enjoy our sessions, I think our time is up. Until next week Margaret."

"Bye Minnie!" I said as I went out the door.
