We decided to get Harry out a few days before his birthday. Then the protective curse on his Uncle's house would break and it would be almost guaranteed that death eaters will swarm the place. It took a few meetings, but we eventually decided on having decoy Harrys, each with their own protective person.

I was barred from going. The most I was allowed to do was brew the polyjuice potion. Even Fleur was going to be a Harry! And Ron and Hermione! It was an outrage. I had almost lost my life involuntarily multiple times for this kid and now people just get to voluntarily do it? While I'm not allowed because I've almost died too many times already? So has Harry! That kid almost gets killed every single year for the past six years. Then, people started with the whole 'you're a healer' thing. They claimed I'm forced to stay at the Burrow because if anyone's gets injured in transportation I can heal them. At least this time they're right that they can't go to St. Mungo's. It would be too hard to explain.

So that's how I ended up staying at the Burrow with Mrs. Weasley and Ginny. I had a bunch of common potions and my wand to perform any healing spells. Plus, I had my cauldron and a whole bunch of ingredients in case something goes really wrong. I was worried sick because three of my best friends were putting themselves in danger.

"They were supposed to be here by now." Mrs. Weasley was standing at the window, looking for everyone. A lot of them had missed their portkey time. Mrs. Weasley probably had the most to lose. Her husband and four (five if you count Harry, which she does) of her children were out risking their lives.

Harry and Hagrid were the first to arrive. Mrs. Weasley ran to greet them but I stopped her. We needed to the checks.

"Harry, what did we use to get to the ministry that one night?"

"Thestrals" I let Harry in.

"Hagrid, which animal of yours was I able to tame my last year at Hogwarts."

"A Niffler" I let him in.

"Are either of you injured?" I asked.

"We did get injured, but Tonks' parents took care of a lot of it." Still, I gave them each a potion to help speed up the healing process and reduce any pain. I was also able to heal their injuries slightly better than Andromeda. While I was doing this, Harry recounted what happened. That just made everyone's heart race as we realized it was much more dangerous than we had originally planned.

"Help!" I heard someone shout from the garden. Mrs Weasley and I both rushed out. Remus was holding up a barely conscious George, who had blood all over his face. I could feel myself start to panic, but with a few deep breaths I was able to regain my focus. Mrs. Weasley tried to bring him inside, but I stopped her.

"Molly, we have to be careful. I'll ask George, you get Remus while I bring George inside."

"George? I need you to answer this question for me. When was the first time you said you loved me?"

"It was the night before I left Hogwarts. Of course, I loved you long before then. That was also the first night we ever had sex." He said, delirious from blood loss. Thank god Molly was too far away to hear his answer.

I heaved George inside and placed him on the couch. Shortly after Remus and Molly raced in.

"It came off with dark magic. Snape was the one who shot him." Remus said angrily.

"If it was dark magic then there's no hope of reattaching it, but I can make it stop bleeding and insure it doesn't get infected. Remus, can you take over checking everybody?"

I forced a potion down George's throat that would knock him unconscious for around 10 minutes. I wanted to do it longer, but I needed to see any other damage and I'd prefer to do that while he was awake. I cleaned all the blood off of his face and used a spell to stop the bleeding. After that, I started cleaning the wound and applied a salve that would help it heal properly before wrapping his head in a bandage.

While I was attending to George, Hermione and Kingsley arrived. They didn't have an obvious pressing injuries, so I stayed focus on George before I could check them over. Next was Arthur and Fred, both who, upon hearing the news about George, sprinted to his bedside.

"He'll be fine. I can't reattach it, but the wound isn't as bad as it seems." I don't think anyone believed me, but I didn't have to create a whole new potion or use some obscure spell. I see that as an absolute win.

Tonks and Ron still hadn't shown up and neither had Mundungus and Mad-eye nor Bill and Fleur. In fact, George woke up before they arrived.

"How you feeling, Georgie?" Fred asked kneeling at George's head.

"Saint like." George replied. I hadn't gotten to check for brain damage before I knocked him out.

"What? Mags, are you sure he's okay?"

"Dunno, I haven't been able to do a work up."

"I'm holy. I'm holey Fred. Get it?" He snickered.

"Holey? A whole world of ear-related humor before you, and you go for holey? Pathetic."

"If his jokes are that bad I'm still not sure we can rule out brain damage." I joked. This caused everyone to laugh.

"They're no worse than they usually" Fred replied.

"I'm still better looking than you" George said. "Isn't that right Margaret?"

"I'm a bit biased, but I think I'll have to agree with that statement. Sorry, Fred, but battle scars just make a guy all that hotter." I finally went to the front of the couch to look at his face. His eyes lit up when he saw me causing me to smile.

"You should take a picture of this. Add it to your photo wall. After all you said it yourself I've never looked hotter."

I rolled my eyes and took a picture. "A true hero."

Ron and Tonks finally came. I rushed to hug Tonks. I was so worried she had been injured. I checked over her and Ron and saw that they were both all right. That just left Mundungus and Mad-eye, and Bill and Fleur.

Bill walked in with a serious look on his face, holding onto Fleur's shaking hand. "Moody is dead"

No. I never liked Mad-eye Moody. He always made me uncomfortable. But he was a damn good auror and leader of the order. Then I remembered his pairing-Mundungus. Even with all the arguments against me, I was still almost picked over Mundungus. That should've been me beside Moody.

"Mundungus took one look at Voldemort and apparated away. He left Moody wide open as a target." Bill said.

I stood up and walked away, not even bothering to check that Bill and Fleur were all right. They looked fine. No bleeding or anything. I walked straight into the garden and to the edge of the protective forcefield around the Burrow. It should've been me instead of Mundugus. I wouldn't have disappeared. I would've shot spells back. Mad-eye might not be dead. I was mad at everyone else for not allowing me to go, but I was mostly pissed at myself. If I had just fought harder, insisted I was fine then we'd have one more person with us today.

I couldn't take the stress or the guilt I felt building up inside me. During my time at St. Mungo's, both as a patient and a healer, I was taught how to deal with this. I took a few deep breaths and reminded myself that it is not my fault. That didn't work. I tried to do some yoga, but eventually I settled for knocking myself out with sleeping draught. If all else fails, drug yourself to cope! (*don't do drugs kids*) I fell asleep immediately in the chilly summer night air wishing I wasn't so worthless to the cause.
