Nothing else happened between George and I before school. We didn't even talk about the night I tried to kiss him and ended up sleeping in the same bed. I know that we need to resolve this, but I don't know how. On one hand, I see his as my closest friend and nothing more. I'm afraid his jealousy will act up again and leave me hurt. But the other side, which is steadily growing stronger, wants to smash his lips into mine and passionately make-out and do other things. And I know he feels the same way. Instead, we've just been acting like we normally do without acknowledging that one night. Except for the fact that he keeps staring and giving me longing looks. And I know this because I'm staring right back.

The day finally arrived where we received our school lists for Hogwarts.
"Oh look, there's a book on here for Defense Against the Dark Arts" Fred said.
"Well yes, Fred. Typically we get textbooks for classes so that we can learn more from them. We use them for DADA to help with things like homework assignments because they have a lot of information about various subjects." I said sarcastically.
"Haha very funny Mags. I said that because I heard mom say that they were struggling to find a DADA teacher for this year since the position is cursed" Fred replied, sticking him tongue out at me. How mature. I stuck my tongue out back.
"Lets go see if the others know who assigned it" George suggested. We apparated down to the boy's room since it always gives them a heart attack . It's quite amusing to watch actually. Harry was used to it by now but Ron jumped higher than a kangaroo.
"Do either of you know who assigned the Slinkhard book?" Fred asked them.
"No, why?" Harry replied. I had gotten to know him better since we lived in the same house. He's a pretty chill guy. The twins kept talking to Harry, but my attention was on Ron who hadn't moved in the past 3 minutes.
"Ron, you alright?" I asked him.
"What's the matter?" Fred asked with a hint of annoyance as Ron didn't respond. His mouth was open and his eyes were wide. Fred walked over to see what had Ron's knickers in a twist.
Fred gasped "PREFECT! prefect?" George and I exchanged a look of surprise before George went to join his brothers.
"This isn't some joke. You really got prefect, Ronniekins." George said, looking absolutely flabbergasted. "I really thought it was going to be you Harry"
"You know, since you've saved everyone's life every single year at Hogwarts." I thought about that statement. It seemed true. Harry was such a big presence and Ron was just kinda there, living in Harry's shadow.
"At least one of you has got your priorities straight. Ickle Ronnie... a prefect" Fred said prefect like is physically pained him. I knew why-prefects are the worst. All they do is get you in trouble, which means the twins have had plenty of run ins with them.
"Mum's going to be revolting" George moaned. He passed the badge to me.
"I don't want this." I tossed it to Harry.
Suddenly Hermione burst into the room. She must've seen Harry holding the badge because she screamed "Oh Harry I knew it! Me too!"
"Actually, Hermione. I'm not prefect. Ron is" Harry said.
Hermione, for once, seemed to be speechless. "Oh wow, Ron. That's really..." She trailed off. Poor Ronnie. No one expected this. We all knew Hermione was going to make Gryffindor prefect. She already is a stickler for the rules. But now that she had the actual authority to enforce those rules, she is going to be insufferable. Sure, she's a nice girl and we get along sometiems, but she has a tendency to be bossy and strict.
